During my career at NFO, I was t rained on the use of options

and hedging in a non-speculative manner in conjunction with

g rain sales for the member farmers who utilized our grain

marketing program. I gave seminars on marketing, futures

options, and managing r isk within the terms of the Farm Bill.

For two years I served as Director of Operations of the National

G rain Department and for six years as National Director of the

G rain Department. Duties included budgeting, program

development, personnel issues, and consulting on development

of new computer software. I gave Grain Department updates to

our National Board of Directors and reported directly to the

P resident of the Organization.
