Qualifications:
I have multiple years experience in piping (process) design, mechanical design, &
construction management, (with 19 years as lead designer/team leader), mostly in
the pharmaceutical and food industries. Proficient in Microstation V8..2D.
Certified in Autocad 2010…2D. Have extensive experience in equipment design
and equipment arrangements. Have done process walkdowns and followed up
with as-builts on P&ID’s and equipment arrangements. Have performed
construction management on various projects including a large scale vitamin
expansion, a cogeneration facility, boiler erection, generator installation,
fermentation processes, large scale filter installation…….to name a few.
Experienced in many types of process applications including fermentation,
centrifugation, crystallization, pelletizing, homogenizing, nitrogen drying, solvent
recovery, tank farm design and tank farm unloading stations. I have designed and
installed USP/PW and WFI water systems, CIP systems, SIP systems, and
steam/condensate systems. Have designed to 3A standards for the food industry,
CGMP, cleanability standards, and have performed designs for clean rooms and
pack-out rooms.
I have prepared manpower loading charts, scopes of work, schedules for design
teams, drawing lists, material take-offs, and cost estimates for both small and large
projects. I have led other designers on numerous occasions, and have supervised
project piping and equipment installations.

Nov 2010-Present Ambitech Engineering Direct Employee
Assigned to Dow Corning in Midland, Mi. Responsible for piping design
and equipment arrangements for various finished products. Working closely with
the lean layout engineer to streamline production activities and eliminate
bottlenecks in the production process.
Nov 2009-Jan 2010 Jergens Piping Direct Employee
Performed piping design for the installation of (2) 9’ diameter self-
discharging filters for Pfizer. Orthos were done on Microstation, and all
isometrics were hand drawn.
April 2007-May 2009 Middough, Inc. Direct Employee
Lead piping designer for dairy product (yogurt & cheese pellets) for Cargill
Inc. Responsible for piping design at fermentors, centrifuges, pelletizers.
Designed CIP/SIP sytems for the process. Extensive use of mix-proof valves
enabling cleaning procedures while maintaining product flow.
Piping design for Dow Corning small projects group. Completed a number
of upgrades to Dow’s various processes.

Lead piping designer on a product transfer at Pfizer. Product was transferred
from Holland to Kalamazoo. Entire project was a retro-fit into an existing
building which remained in operation.
Lead piping designer on a solvent recovery/tank farm installation project.
Designed all the tanks, and designed all the piping, including the interface
to a Koch Tower.
Lead designer on an anti-biotic project. Designed all piping relative to the
manufacture of a popular anti-biotic.

Lead piping designer on a 3-story centrifuge expansion. Equipment included
two centrifuge installations.
Lead piping designer on a tank farm and unloading installation. Designed
the tanks, piping, and did the equipment arrangements.
Tank replacement projects…did all the piping design on 16 tank
replacements in various buildings and processes. Tanks included
fermentors, glass-lined reactors, crystallizers, etc.
Team leader on the trestle team for 2 years. My team performed various
upgrades to the piping on the trestle, which greatly reduced downtime due to
freeze-ups and leaks.
Lead piping designer on a 5 story filtration project. Included the installation
of two self discharging, nitrogen dryed, filters. Did all the piping design
and equipment arrangements.
Team leader on a rotary dryer expansion for a cholesterol-lowering product.
(supervised 10 designers and model makers.)

Lead piping designer on design and installation of self-discharging/nitrogen

Lead piping designer on a water intake structure. Designed the piping from
the river all the way up thru the water treatment facility to the process
distribution.
Supervised the piping installation on a Co-generation project. Included the
installation of an oil fired vertical boiler and Siemens generator.
Supervised the installation of a Vitamin C Expansion. Expansion
encompassed upgrades to a 13 story manufacturing facility.
