PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS
• Personally conducted research on the large numbers of Left Hand Aircraft Gearboxes
removed for unscheduled maintenance
-Discovered 56% of Left Hand Aircraft Gearboxes removed for pawl carrier leaks
- Identified worn layshafts assemblies as the root cause
- Adjusted stock level requirements and repaired 7 units with a savings of $196,000,
thereby reducing the need for depot level repair by 38%
• Troubleshot, logged and analyzed a tracking database of F-15 Small Gas

Arabia. Responsible for the inspection, teardown, buildup, pretest and final inspection of the
F100-PW-220E and F100-PW-229 engines. Performed Scheduled Phase Inspections on F-15C
and F-15S Aircraft engines performing 100 and 200 hour scheduled Phase inspections.
Perormed both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and engine removal and installation
from aircraft. Assisted the flightline troubleshooting engine technical problems. Performed
Time compliance technical orders. IPI and Red X certified. Trained individuals for upgrade
training from 3 level to 5 level and 5 level to 7 level.

Responsible for the inspection, teardown, buildup, repair of F100-PW-220/220E Engines.
Inspection and repair of Inlet Fan, Gearbox, Low Pressure Turbine, High Pressure Turbine,
Augmentor Modules. Performed rigid scope inspection and vacuum and flow checks.
Performed Time compliance technical orders (TCTO) on engine related system components.
Accomplished TCTO 2J-F100 (III)-580 (pins and collars on LPT), TCTO 2J-F100 (VI)-533
(pins and collars on HPT) TCTO 2J-F100(IV)-574 Removal and replacement of the 2nd stage
LPT outer Air seal (BOAS). IPI and Red X certified.
• August 1994 to August 1998: Production Chief, USAF, Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan.
Performed intermediate level maintenance disassembly, inspection, repairing and reassembly of
all Jet Fuel Starters (JFS), Central Gearboxes (CGB), and Airframe Mounted Accessory Drive
(AMAD). Certified technicians to operate engine start system components on test stands.
Performed periodic maintenance and service requirements on test stands Non-Powered-
Aerospace Ground Equipment. Maintained the Secondary Power Systems historical records.
Performed TCTO 2JA3-50-6-504, the removal replacement of the Jet Fuel Starter, Axial
Containment Ring. IPI and Red X Certified.
• August 1991 to August 1994: Section Chief, USAF, Keflavik Naval Air Station, Iceland
Performed intermediate level maintenance disassembly, inspection, repair and reassembly of all
Jet Fuel Starters (JFS), Central Gearboxes (CGB) and Airframe Mounted Accessory Drive
(AMAD). Performed service inspection on test stands and non-powered age equipment.
Managed the Tool Control program, Hazardous Waste program and the Equipment Account
Custodian.
• June 1989 to July 1991: Material Support Specialist, USAF, Castle Air Force Base,
California Performed as Bench Stock Moniter, responsible for more 1500 line items,
Equipment Account custodian responsible for $2.2 million dollars of jet engine support
equipment. Personally coordinated with Base Supply, Production Control and Material Control
to procure engine components.
• June 1988 to June 1989: Jet Engine Journeyman, USAF, Kunsan Air base, Korea. Performed
teardown, inspection, minor repair, buildup of the F110-GE-100 engine. Responsible for the
teardown, inspection and buildup of the Front Frame, High Pressure Turbine, Exhaust and
Augmentor Sections.
• May 1985 to May 1988: Jet Engine Journeyman, USAF, Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan.
Augmentor Module Repair Section for the F100-PW-100/200 engine Augmentor Modules.
Responsible for the teardown, inspection, repair, buildup and rigging of the augmentor
actuators. Performed both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Completed TCTO’s 2J-
F100(IV)-515, 2J-F100 (IV)-517 and 2J-F100(IV)-520.
• Jan 1984 to May 1985: Jet Engine Journeyman, USAF, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. Jet
Engine Journeyman on the F100-100/200 engine. Performed Jet Engine teardown, inspection,
repair, buildup, on the Inlet Fan, Gearbox, Low Pressure Turbine, High Pressure Turbine and
Augmentor Module. Performed rigid borescope inspections and vacuum and flow checks.
• January 1983 to January 1984: Jet Engine Journeyman, USAF, Kunsan Air Base, Korea. Jet
Engine Journeyman on the F-16A/B aircraft, F-100-200 engines. Performed engine removals
and installations and removal and replacement of engine components. Troubleshot engine start
system malfunctions, ground man qualified.

Delaware. Jet Engine Journeyman on the TF-39-GE-1C engine. Performed teardown,
