RESUME

I am a fully bilingual (English/Spanish) Art Director and Graphic Designer

with over 10 years of experience in advertising agencies, design studios

and as a freelancer both in the U.S. and abroad. I have also held positions

as a Graphic Production Manager and Product Development Manager that have

given me valuable insights and industry-specific knowledge that allow me to

work with practical applications and results in mind.

2011-2009

Product Development Manager / Safari Ltd. - Miami, FL

I streamlined and organized the development and design process for the

annual production of museum-quality animal and dinosaur replicas, fantasy

figures and educational products. My direct contact with our outside

vendors and sculptors, coupled with detailed project assignment and

oversight of the entire 'design to production' process, enabled the company

to optimize its annual product offering, avoiding overlaps in shipping

dates and availability.

In conjunction with the product development process, I created a system to

track all new product details for each new product and coordinated this

information with the Creative Director. This permitted the Graphic

Department to initiate catalog production in a more advantageous and timely

manner and served as a reference guide for proofing artwork.

I also implemented a reporting system for supervising quality control and

product consistency to minimize frequency of defective product and to

address production errors with our manufacturers. This led to a reduction

in the annual quantity of defective product returns both from wholesale as

well as retail customers.

2008-2006

Sr. Graphic Designer / Safari Ltd. - Miami, FL

As a designer I brought a fresh perspective to the Graphic Department,

working with the Creative Director to overcome management's resistance to

renew the graphics for the company's product lines. I successfully assisted

in phasing out a semi-standardized look by creating proposals that

leveraged the unique qualities of each product line. This led to more

creative product packaging and labels, print ads, institutional signage,

tradeshow graphics, website design and marketing and sales collateral that

revitalized the 'look and feel' of the company. My success led to my

promotion to Product Development Manager.

2006-2004

Art Director / Clarity Advertising & Design - Miami, FL

I successfully managed the graphics department at the agency and provided

support to a team of 2 graphic designers and one intern. The department was

able to consistently deliver high quality work against tight deadlines. My

experience in print production proved invaluable in reducing the number of

production related errors and pre-press issues with printers. My assistance

to the company president during visits to clients and in presentations was

instrumental in generating repeat business from our clients and aided in

reinforcing the rapport of the agency with its contacts.

Graphic Production Manager / Providian Financial - Buenos Aires Office

(Argentina)

As a locally based, fully bilingual Marketing Department team member I was

able to provide invaluable assistance in accelerating the 'start-up' of the

company's direct mail campaigns. My experience and relationships with local

printers allowed me to successfully coordinate the execution of over 2

million pieces of direct mail materials for the MasterCard brand in

addition to other marketing collateral. My duties also included being the

liaison with Providian's Corporate Design Department in San Francisco to

assure compliance with corporate graphic standards.

The success of Providian's credit card offerings generated the opportunity

for the company to open Providian Bank in Buenos Aires. I was chosen to

oversee the production of all elements required for the opening, including

interior and exterior corporate signage, environmental graphics, posters

and marketing collateral.
