University of Technology, Germany.
? Chiral side chain azo dye liquid crystalline polymers were designed
and developed as optical recording materials. The uniform thin films and
coatings were developed. Holographic grating recording was developed.

trimethoxybenzene and 1,3,5-tricyanobenzene were designed, synthesized
and analyzed, and their films were prepared by sol-gel and spin-coating.

? Sol-gel, spin-coating and coating methods were used to make organic
azo polymer films and coatings. Different substrates were used, such as
polished single-crystal silicon, plastic and polished glass substrates.
The static optical recording properties were developed by a static
optical recording tester. These thin films can be as candidates for
short-wavelength optical recording materials. Developed the trans-cis
photoisomerization by time-resolved fluorescence spectra, using a Ti:
Sapphire laser.
