Resume
Ruthie Samuel
Arlington, Texas 76013
As you can see from my resume, for a period of 28 years or so I worked in
the medical community and have, in the past few months, changed horses, and
gone back to the business world. I realize this is confusing. I am quite
happy and eager to explore new avenues.
Thank you for your consideration.

I moved here from England in 1980 after working in London for ten years in
various capacities in offices. I was lastly an office manager for a
metallurgic company, assisting the Managing Director and the Sales Director
in the daily running of the company. I was, and still am, a highly
motivated and detail orientated individual with excellent verbal and
written communication skills.
1981 - 1990
I accepted a position at Fort Worth Children's Hospital as an 'On the Job
Trainee' as a Respiratory Therapist.
1990 - 1997
I had had a part-time job at Vencor, (now Kindred), and they offered me a
full-time position, which I accepted in the medical field.
1997 - 1999
I worked in the nursing home environment as a supervisor and was
responsible for the respiratory crew in four nursing homes. I assisted
with medical procedures and performed many administrative duties, as well
as marketing for our company. In January of 2000, Medicare no longer
covered us and we were laid off.
1999 - 2001
I worked for a temp agency as an agency therapist throughout the entire
Metroplex.
2003 - 2006
I worked for another temporary agency, (and had done so on and off on a
temp basis for 18 years).
2006 - 2009
After working there as a temp for several months, I accepted a position at
Medical Center of Arlington as a therapist.
October 2009 - May 2010
After several years in the medical realm, I decided to change course and
perhaps return to school. I was employed as an office manager/ account
manager for a web design company. I performed my clerical and
administrative duties in a consistent and diligent manner. The company had
obtained some clients in the San Antonio area and wished for me to relocate
since they felt I had given excellent customer service during my time
there. I did not wish to relocate at that time and decided to stay in the
DFW area.
June 2010
I signed up with another temporary respiratory agency on an'as needed'
basis. I am still registered with them, but it does not provide a steady
income.
July - September 2010
I took a temporary assignment with Lincoln Financial, a funeral assignment
company, processing loans for funeral homes from start to finish. I
performed data entry, scanning, faxing, general office duties and provided
excellent customer service for our lclients. I had to verify coverage
with the deceased's insurance company before we could process the loans.
September 2010 - January 2011
I went overseas to be with my father. He suffered a stroke and eventually
died in December of 2010. I returned to the U.S. in January of 2011.
I am still registered with the temporary respiratory agency and wish to
pursue a full-time career in the business world. I also am planning on
pursuing another degree on an on-line basis.
Throughout my career, I have always given great customer service. I always
strive to the 'right' thing. I am not a 'clock watcher' and go home when
the job is done! I am flexible and strive to think outside the box. I am
looking forward to exploring new avenues.
Thank you for your time.
