Team Lead Disaster Recovery (2005 - 2008)

Program Manager for all phases of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery

Planning process for 2 trade floor front, middle and back office

environments. Performed initial Business Impact Assessment (BIA)

development. Provided expertise in design and maintenance of Business

Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).

. Led IT project team updating DR plans for two trade floor front and

back office operating groups to accommodate relocation to consolidated

enterprise recovery facility. Included was a BIA review, modification

of all disaster recovery plans and update of application fail-over

test scripts.

. Tested departments' recovery plans to ensure that recovery point

objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO) were met.

. Conducted monthly recovery exercises to verify business continuity and

disaster recovery plan functionality for 25+ departments.

. Formulated semi-annual consolidated exercises testing all departmental

disaster recovery plans simultaneously in order to ensure that

identified inter-department objectives were met. Process was

implemented successfully and included provisions for test issue

documentation, review and resolution.

Project Manager for IT related phases of Business Continuity and Disaster

Recovery process for established RPO, RTO, and Y2K alternate site

compliance. Led team that developed, implemented, and maintained Disaster

Recovery Plans for 2 trade floor environments at separate remote facilities

with 75 - 150 seats.

. Recovered Treasury trading operations at alternate site in response to

fire at production facility. Coordinated all aspects of operations

following established recovery plan. Successfully transferred

operations saved bank from severe financial penalties and irreparable

reputational damage.

. Led IT project team in formulation of DR plans for two trade floor

operating environments focused on work area recovery at remote

facilities to meet published RTO and RPO. Included creation of all

application disaster recovery plans, application fail-over test

scripts and expansion of recovery facility to support 60 workstations.

Project implementation completed in time to support Y2K failover

initiative.

. Completed technical design and implementation of 16 seat recovery site

Managed network design, implementation, testing, and maintenance for

multiple client locations. Maintained vendor relationships to remain

current on industry developments, trends, and applications. Worked with

vendor support groups to troubleshoot system/network performance

degradation and restore service during outages.

. Implemented network infrastructure for 3500 seat facility which

facilitated consolidation of business operations from multiple sites.
