Bethesda, MD. Sustainable design features included reclaimed materials,
day-lighting and non-toxic finishes.
. Namm Residence: Designed an 1100 square foot residential addition in a
historic neighborhood in Arlington, VA. Sustainable design features
included day-lighting and radiant floor heating.
. Wills Residence: Designed a 3200 square foot residential addition in
Alexandria, VA. Sustainable design features included radiant floor
heating, super insulated walls and windows and passive solar heating.

. Inigo's Crossing: Estimated Construction Cost: $75 million. Led
development of construction documents for multi-family development
consisting of 500 apartment units in a 5-story and a 9-story building
with 5 levels of underground parking.
. Single Family Homes at Glen Riddle: Market Cost: Approximately $1
million. Guided design, development and creation of construction
documents for two house models in an ocean-side development in Maryland.
Supervised construction administration for the second building phase.

. Lau Residence: Estimated Construction Cost: $75,000. Developed
construction drawings for an exterior deck and facade renovation,
including custom metal stairs and handrails. Design incorporated the
landscape into an exterior living space. Assistant principal in all
project phases from client review meetings to permit processing.
. Warner Residence: Estimated Construction Cost: $200,000. Led field survey
work, including production of as-built drawings. Assisted in the design
and development of two-story kitchen and living room addition utilizing
passive solar design and day-lighting strategies.

Designed a new mechanical system to incorporate the historic features of

TEACHING Experience
Northern Virginia Community College: Adjunct faculty, 2011. Created the
syllabus and taught ARC 240: Designing Sustainable Built Environments, an
introduction to sustainable design.
COMMUNITY SERVICE Experience
Living Building Challenge: Volunteer Presenter, 2011. Completed Volunteer
Presenter Training. Responsibilities as Volunteer Presenter include one
year of service including a minimum of six presentations introducing the
Living Building Challenge.
Committee on the Environment: Served as Regional Coordinator for the Mid-
Atlantic Region of the AIA Committee on the Environment. Lead the
Washington, DC chapter as Chair in 2007 and coordinated volunteer efforts
for the 2005 Solar Decathlon.
Washington Architectural Foundation: Volunteer for Architecture in the
Schools (during Fall 2004, Spring 2005 and Fall 2006) a program that
matches architects with a public school class to introduce students to
architecture.
SPEAKING EXERIENCE
GreenFest 2010: Prepared and presented "How Do I Know My Home is Green?" an
overview of residential green rating systems.
Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals 2010: Prepared and
presented an overview of green rating systems focusing on industrial
facilities for a professional focus group.
Solar Decathlon 2007: Presented the AIA Top 10 Green Buildings at a public
information session.
