Project Manager responsible for rolling out XP to a user base of 5000

people. This involved several projects including a Printer Refresh

Project, Developing a Standard Build, a Roll-out to 5000 seats, a hardware

rationalization project, a server rationalization and a server

virtualization project. Led a team of between 8 and 28 people depending on

the phase of the project. Overall budget was 2M. The result of the

project was increased user productivity and increased network availability,

reliability, and upgraded support model.

Served as UAT Manager directly dealing with any issues from acceptance

criteria to champion user sign-off. Guided application packager

surrounding dependencies with the core build. Experience with application

assessment and remediation with regards to the Desktop Environment.

Successfully packaged over 200 applications. Familiar with change and

release strategies. Led the day to day running of the project including

System Architecture, UAT testing, Process Design, Process Flows, attending

Program Boards, minuting meetings, developing a project folder structure

and more. Instituted standard build and a standard list of applications

including Citrix, RiO 5, and Office 2007. Culminated in the successful

delivery of a new standard core build. Involved in setting up several

virtual servers using VMware (Windows 2008 R2) on HP DL380 G6 boxes.

Instigated planning and scheduling of data migrations from physical servers

to virtual servers. Produced Server rationalization and consolidation

initial bid through to completion and shut down. Oversaw all new business

into the company. Analyzed Bid Reviews, Logistics, Service Delivery

Models, Resourcing, and all other aspects for delivering projects on time

and on budget. Developed and streamlined several control logs and

procedures.
