Follow up with delivered mothers the next day to assist with any
breastfeeding issues, provide information and list of resources available
for contact after discharge. Assist mother/baby unit with completing
routine newborn screening exams such as metabolic screens, newborn hearing
screens and transcutaneous bilirubin checks.

assessment each shift on mother and baby. Report to physician any
abnormal findings. Complete any lab, or scheduled items to be
completed such as Metabolic Screening and Hearing Screens on newborns.

Postpartum/Nursery unit. Assisted in developing the plan for
transition to include job duties and location of supplies.
Served as preceptor for nurses training in unit. Developed training
