Purchasing
> As Senior Project Buyer on The Largest Semisubmersible Platform "Thunder
Horse" I was responsible for all Research, Procurement and Pipe
Fabrication during the Construction / Commissioning phase of the
Platform, also Maintained an inventory of all spare parts stored on the
platform and on the site in Ingleside, TX.
> Shop for the Best, Quality, Price and Delivery. Assist Engineering or
the Client in any technical specifications for major & critical purchases
> Coordinate Requisition, Purchasing, logistics, Distribution, and
Inventory Control of Material.
> Maintain Extensive Vendor Communication regarding Logistics, Shipping
Negotiations and Time Constraints in order to achieve economies of scale
> Approve Invoices for Payment. Improved purchasing procedures & practices
in order to enhance effectiveness & efficiency of the Purchasing Dept.

Accomplishments
> Responsible for all DSIDA (Round Up) Procurement of (Electrical,
Instrumentation, Mechanical and all Engineered items. This Project was
fast tracked to reduce construction time from 10 months to 6 months.
> Managed Entire Purchasing Department consisting of four Buyers and one
Clerk - Procurement average for one Month from $4 To $5 Million -
Supervised the Maintenance Warehouse consisting of 8 full time employees
- Maintained Inventory of $12,000,000 + Responsible for all Import and
Export Shipments and dealing with US Customs. (Virgin Islands Alumina
Corp.)
> Solely responsible for the Purchase, Rental, Pipe Fabrication and
Expediting of Materials for as many as 20 Industrial Construction and
Maintenance Projects at any given time.
> Implemented Inventory Arrangement in Georgia-Pacific Computerized Catalog
