Seeking: RFP / Proposal Writer - Business Development
Experience:
Extensive hands-on experience developing uniquely customized proposals.
Work well with tech writers, editors, ISDs, IT SMEs. Have supported highly
technical, web-based presentations. Data mine for relevant RFPs. Excellent
client-facing problem solver. Assist extant staff in authoring
syntactically-smart and grammatically correct final documents, work will
with technical/scientific/healthcare content. Q&A/Editorial strengths.
Easily learn new template departmental standards. Team player.
In my last position of nine years, I was assigned to the Fortune 500 sales
and government division, specializing in working with numerous divisions
(technical, admin, logistics, etc) to propose complex, but highly efficient
M&A and/or product/service/software implementations. I write excellent
interpretations of IT/SME tech input.I wrote all the RFPs for my employer
or, alternatively, re-wrote their non-skilled IT/tech attempts to say what
they mean. I analyze my client's requirements, probe for their needs (which
may still be unknown to them),and typically help in the up-sell of
additional of our services. My ITs would create the rack and system
diagrams. I would translate them.
For the smaller one-off RFPs, I typically wrote the entire proposal myself,
sent it to IT for fine tuning (if needed), made their input adjustments,
and completed the proposal. Typically I created most of my own graphics. I
created templated sales, IT, and admin documents for their departments
(with a sales/marketing eye).
