Manager, responsible for the implementation of the Continuity of Operations Program at the INL. This
project requires leadership, innovation and collaboration with all Idaho National Laboratory stakeholders
including the Department of Energy (DOE) and INL prime contractors. Additional responsibilities
include; Chairman of a DOE Nuclear Emergency Management Institute committee, charter member of the
INL Technology Deployment Community of Practice and the INL Employee Mentoring Group.
• Managed $5,000,000 project, shortened schedule timeline, reduced 2011 budget by 50% while
meeting all project milestones. FY2010 budget, $900,000, managed to +1.4%
• Recognized as an industry leader by building alliances between DOE and national laboratory
peers such as Lawrence Livermore, Sandia and Los Alamos. Elected to Chairmanship of DOE

Toyota, Honda and General Motors. All aspects of equipment construction including electronic analysis
and software configuration, AC/DC power and mechanical construction completed by in-house labor
under PM control. Budgets typically are in the range of $100,000 to $750,000.

Facilitate the rapid construction and expansion of two plants, specializing in medical device processing.
As Senior Project Manager provided oversight for all labor (contract and in-house), contract
administration and budgetary issues for plant construction and expansion. PM is responsible from
project inception to start-up of all plant systems, followed by successful completion of U.S. Food & Drug
Administration (FDA) certification documents and approval for operation. Delivered plant construction
projects in Willowbrook, IL and Glens Fall, NY on schedule and within the project budgets ($50,000 to
$400,000).

Zion Nuclear Generating Station
Initially hired following college graduation, as a System Engineer in the Zion Technical Staff
organization, quickly promoted to Project Manger in the Corporate Engineering and Construction
Department. Assigned full responsibility for maintenance, inspection, repair/replacement on the two most
critical plant components, the reactor vessel and stream generators. Devised successful repair options
leading to cost effective plant operation. Prepared life of plant studies leading to the eventual shutdown
and permanent closure of Zion Nuclear Generating Station. Acted as consultant on corporate, national
and international nuclear plant operation, economic and safety issues.
• Successfully managed largest Zion Nuclear site projects in plant history ($5,500,000/ annually).
Directed activities of up to 150 management and union personnel on major projects during plant
shutdown periods.
• Negotiated service contracts and partnerships with Babcock & Wilcox, Westinghouse,
ABB/Combustion Engineering and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI).
• Provided a pivotal role as Subject Matter Expert in settlement of major lawsuit involving nuclear
plant design contractor ($15 million settlement).
• Developed and presented Life of Plant Studies, utilized by Commonwealth Edison senior
management, leading to the closure of Zion Nuclear Generating Station. Studies including forecasts
for plant maintenance cost vs. plant closure following electric utility deregulation.
