Co-installed a labor-management participation team program in a 5000-employee
regional gas/electric public service company, substantially improving the
union/company relationship and overall employee productivity/involvement.
Authored a new employee handbook for a privately held printing business and
facilitated a joint labor/management sponsorship/approval team without a single
grievance and no additional language in the contract to prevent subsequent
usage of either the governing rules or the process used.
Served as primary investigator and designated respondent for internal
investigations and successful external EEOC charge response.
Delivered supervisory and organizational coaching and training to over 500
Federal Agency employees in a 1-1/2 year time frame, thereby qualifying each
participant for promotional and lateral opportunities as well as ensuring

Managed the transition to shutdown of two unionized food production plants in

Director, Human Resources
At the request of the President, accepted an assignment to direct the human
resource function of a $50+ million, unionized, multi-plant, international
manufacturing firm. Responsible for all hiring, training, compensation,
benefits and labor issues.
Co-negotiated a union contract and severance package in Milwaukee, WI that
enabled the company to avoid wildcat strikes and work slow downs, retain the
Associates through a staged shutdown process and maintain positive working
relationships with the 55+ union leadership/membership for the 16-month
notification period.
Co-founded a citywide Welder's Summit that included 20+ manufacturing
employers representing more than 300 available welding positions that led to
long and short-range solutions for the national welder shortage and
established aggressive welder's pay/training programs in-house.
Addressed a 20-year pervasive neighboring plant odor and environmental problem
by tracking complaints and documenting communication with the company coupled
with Council presentations, on site inspections, meetings and follow up with
city officials, resulting in a multi-million dollar fine and ultimate plant
closure.
