To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing in regards to the open position at Parker as the District
Sales Manager. I am a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with
a Bachelor degree of Applied Arts and a Minor degree in General Business.
I believe my education and experience make me a strong candidate for this
position and a good fit for your organization. I have 5 years experience
in Sales in the Food Industry. I have highly relatable experience in the
areas of sales and marketing, SAP, training and development, customer
service, and team based environments. My understanding of management,
marketing, and leadership skills gained through my degree and experience,
paired with my superior communication skills prepare me to serve
successfully in this position.
I am currently the Sales Manager for Pilgrim's Pride Corporation in
Nacogdoches, TX. My job responsibilities include selling poultry from 12
of our processing plants. I manage inventory of finished and unfinished
goods daily. I also purchase raw material for the plants to process the
finished goods. I manage over 20 accounts. The most important
responsibility I have in this position is making the correct decisions that
are profitable and in the best interest of the company and taking care of
my customers.
Prior to that I worked as a Petroleum Landman for a Broker out of Houston,
TX. My job responsibilities included researching ownership of mineral
rights, title research, due-diligence, and negotiating oil and gas leases.
The most important responsibility I had was time management and attention
to detail.
I began my career out of college at Pilgrim's Pride. I was hired as the
HACCP Coordinator in the Quality Assurance Department for the Lufkin
Facility and then promoted to the Assistant Sales Manager. As part of my
job duties as the Assistant Sales Manager, I managed and maintained a daily
inventory of finished and unfinished goods, managed sales and pricing of
consumer products based on the markets, and managed current business to
meet the customer's needs.
In addition to my experience in sales as a Manager, and my experience in
Quality Assurance in the manufacturing industry, I posses superior
communication skills, management, and the ability and experience in
effectively working in a team environment. I work in SAP daily and am
proficient at numerous computer programs. I have experience in project
management with sales & marketing. I enjoy working with people and
developing ideas that are efficient in today's economy. I also enjoy
working in a fast-paced environment and I am excited for the opportunity to
interview for this position.
I look forward to such an opportunity so I can further illustrate my
qualifications. I can be reached at the number listed at the top of my
resume. Thank you in advance for the consideration.
