upgrade Testing and Ongoing Production support of 11.5.9 version of

Oracle Applications as part of the project.

V WMS:

o Led the Oracle WMS implementation effort, worked on the proof of

concept and feasibility.

o This project involves consolidating the 5 inventory

organizations that ship today a net volume of around $5 billion

into 2 Distribution Centers, which will be WMS organizations.

o Gathered the requirements and demonstrated the out-of-the-box

Oracle setups for a WMS Org to the business, including, but not

limited to LPN, Put Away, Pick Confirm, Ship Confirm and barcode

label printing using the MSCA scanners.

V Picking Process:

o Worked on getting the Pick confirmation transactions to be done

via the MSCA handheld scanners.

o Introduced the barcode fields on to the custom Pick Slip report

to facilitate the usage of the MSCA handheld scanners by

scanning the delivery number off of the pick slip and pick the

product.

o The major benefit with this was the reduction in picking errors.

The number of errors came down from around 15 errors on average

per day to 7 per day, thus resulting in increased inventory

control and picking efficiency.

o Rolled this MSCA implementation out to 3 GE Security

distribution centers in the US pole.

V Inventory Item Reservations:

o Implemented the inventory item reservations in a multi-org

environment during the pick release process for Orders in Oracle

11i.

o Rolled this project over to multiple business locations.

tremendously.

communicate with Oracle for shipping purposes.

to be approved, thus cutting the cycle time involved by 25%.

V Inventory migration:

o Successfully migrated all the inventory items and on-hand

quantities from a manufacturing inventory organization to a

distribution center within the same OU.

o The net worth involved in this operation was around $10 million.

o Developed the Item Upload tool used to mass load new items

and/or updates to the existing items using the Item Import.

o Reconciled the dollars after the inventory move was complete via

certain valuation reports.

V Auto-Replenishment setup:

o Set the auto replenishment up for the purchased raw material

parts to be replenished by the supplier based on the min max

levels in the inventory.

o Set up the ASL and a blanket purchase order to receive the

product in.

o Created a custom request set, which ran the min-max process,

requisition import and showed the open shipments.

o This completely upstaged the manual process involved with

replenishment till then and automated the entire process for the

buyers. Also, developed a report on the same lines as the

Requisition import exceptions report to show the items that

failed the Requisition import process.

V Internal Order setup:

o Set the Internal Orders process between the Distribution center

and the various manufacturing sites based on the min max levels

of the inventory in the DC.

o The min max run for the DC was setup to run based on the planner

codes, which would take care of all the items in that planner

code and create an internal requisition with the respective

manufacturing plant.

o This process obviated the placing of sales orders with the

plants; instead, this setup would do that automatically based on

the DC inventory levels.

V Worked on several reports and enhancements from the functional

perspective involving requirements gathering, user testing & training

and seeing them migrate through to the Production environment.

V Support for the SCM modules:

o Worked as a business analyst in the SCM area of the RTS group,

forecasts using the Open Forecast Interface to mass load the

weekly or monthly forecasts.

o Involved in the Physical Inventory for the years 2005 and 2006

to assist the business in printing the physical inventory tags

and record the counts.

o Involved in one of the most successful Hardware moves, moved the

Oracle applications server from Ft. Wayne, IN to Cincinnati, OH.

o Performed the post cloning operations from the functional

perspective after the instance was copied from Production.

o Involved in the monthly integration cycle testing.

o Involved in setting up the Organizations for cost rollups,
