Responsibilities: Lead strategic development and design of all
Human Resources administrative support functions managing 75 associates
to include: Talent Acquisition, Domestic/International Relocation, HRIS

Accountable for associate relations to include: orientations, counseling
and problem solving, Associate Engagement and severance/unemployment
programs. Maintain a total associate Recruiting and Relocation budget of
$6.0MM and department budget of $7.0MM.
Recent Accomplishments:
Managed and led teams to support both Acquisitions and Divestitures with
associate count from 10 - 17,000 (Cole National, Sunglass Hut, Sunglass
Icon, Optical Shop of Aspen, etc.). Leading outplacement, recruiting,
relocation, communications and logistic development and design. Working
with all levels of management to lead HR negotiations and due diligence.
Earned Workforce Management Optimas Award in 2007 in the Managing Change
category.
Implemented reduction in force (2009 & 2010) that reduced headcount by 15%
and payroll by $16 million annually; eliminated layers, increased spans of
control and improved decision making speed.
Developed, communicated and maintained a Competency Based Performance
Management Program for all 35,000 associates to include: Pre-hire
assessments, Selecting for Success, Performance Management, Training &
Development and Succession Planning. Resulting in 20% reduction in
turnover across brands, productivity improvements and 20-40% reduction
in store shrink.
Developed and implemented domestic and international relocation programs
to support 150+ management relocations annually and multi-country
expatriate assignments (i.e. China, UK, Italy, India). Outsourced
domestic program resulting in 50%+ staffing efficiencies, online expense
reporting access and improved performance ratings.
Designed, led and administered Associate Opinion and Employee Engagement
survey tools for the global organization. Includes retail, doctor,
franchise, wholesale and manufacturing versions in 18 languages and 33
countries with a budget of $.7MM for 60,000 associates. Resulting in
continuous Employee Engagement and Service Excellence index improvement.
Designed HR Scorecard to measure performance ROI metrics to include:
Associate Productivity (Sales per Hour Worked/Exams per Hour),
Engagement, Cost per Hire, Time to Fill, Turnover, Manager/ Brand
deliverables (ROI for pre-hire assessments totaled millions of dollars
for each brand).
