Responsibilities included hiring, training, and supervising 13 sales specialist, 4 commercial sales
specialists. Designed and executed monthly sales strategies, conducted weekly sales meetings
and worked with commercial sales associates to identify new business opportunities. Worked
with specialists on sales floor to help increase close rates of estimates to sales. Mentored less
experienced sales specialists to help them to become more proficient and confident in their
selling abilities.
Increased commercial sales in the store and managed Lowes number one commercial sales
customer. Had a 15% increase in commercial sales budget in one year.
Managed the installed sales department in each store I worked in until corporate implemented the
centralized production office in 2010. Supervised 4 employees in each office and was the liaison
between installers and our customers. Did job site inspections after job completions, mediated
customer concerns with installation work and managed warranty issue for product failures in
customer’s homes. Worked to receive credit for faulty products that arrived or were installed by
having a good working relationship with vendors and corporate contacts.
Managed the Project Service Interior and Exterior specialists. Worked with each to drive sales
and organize large projects in customer’s homes. Visited job sites, when needed, to help correct
installer errors or help customers better understand project management.

Managed appliance, cabinet and flooring departments. Ordered stock, merchandised floor displays,
controlled inventory and shrink. Trained new associates and helped them achieve sales goals.
Mentored associates to achieve different levels of sales certifications that were required by Lowes.

PLUMBING AND CABINET SPECIALIST 2003-2005
Started with Lowes as a plumbing specialist. Increased sales and was moved to cabinet
department as specialist. I was the number one cabinet specialist in the Southeast region for over
6 months and was offered management training to be able to move up in the company. Took
management training, worked as a department manager and later moved up to Sales Manager by
District Manager, Bob Beene.

Worked as sales clerk for woman’s clothing store. Left in 2003 to work for Lowes to obtain
benefits.
PAST EXPERIENCE
Have worked in the past for Robinson, Saks Fifth Avenue and the Gap Group. Have done
extensive volunteer work for Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system tutoring children in reading
and math. Have also done volunteer work for the Boy Scouts of America for 7 years and have
served the council as their Day Camp Director.
