Owner / Operator of two Back Yard Burger franchisees in North
Mississippi. Initiated two franchises from the ground up including
construction, initial hiring of over 60 employees, and grand openings.
Coordinated construction of buildings which included architectural
bids, construction bids, and vendor bids, necessary permits,
financing, and setting up office for administrative purposes including
payroll, cost control measures, profit and loss reports, and a
timeline for completion. Operational duties include hiring, training,
and retention of team members and shift leaders, running day to day
operations which include cash control, scheduling, and ordering, and
ensuring a high level of cleanliness, service, speed, and product
quality. Responsible for local store marketing which include coupons,
cross marketing with businesses, schools and churches, advertising
in newspapers and local fundraisers. Sold the Hernando location to a
Zaxby's franchisee in August of 2010 and converted the Senatobia
location to an independent restaurant in December 2010.

October 2006
Supervise and manage 12 KFC stores in the Dallas/Fort Worth/Central
Texas area for a large franchisee operating 54 locations overall.
Primary responsibility is to increase sales through marketing efforts,
customer services and product quality meetings in each location,
handling customer complaints, and periodic manager meetings. Conduct
periodic in store audits to ensure clean stores, fast and friendly
service, great product quality following KFC's standards, and approve
needed repairs. Responsible for hiring, retention, and training of
new managers and their employees. Work with managers on cost control
measures such as food and labor cost and have periodic profitability
reviews to find opportunities to improve. Conduct cash and food
audits to ensure managers and their employees are following company
guidelines. Directly supervise 12 Restaurant General Managers and
indirectly supervise approximately 150 Team Members. Maintained sales
increases throughout employment.

Self-employed owner / agent for successful insurance agency. Started
agency in a new location without any existing customers. Currently,
the agency services over 500 accounts that resulted from individual
sales and marketing efforts through networking, cross-selling and
telemarketing. Responsible for all aspects of management of the
agency including underwriting home, auto, commercial and life
insurance policies, processing claims, hiring and training of
employees and management of operations and expenses. Completed
rigorous training and accreditation programs for licensing and
promotions within Allstate. Received numerous awards and
certifications in meeting sales and operational targets.
Sanderson Farms, Inc.; Bryan, Texas / McComb, Mississippi; March 1996
- November 1998
Completed management training program in December 1996, including
training in plant processing and production, inventory management,
sales and marketing at Sanderson's McComb plant. Relocated to Bryan in
connection with start-up of new production/processing/sales facility,
which has the ability to process over 250,000 chickens per day. Held
position of frozen foods/export customer service representative.
Primary responsibilities included: managing frozen food inventory and
production of the Bryan plant and, at various times, other processing
facilities depending on customer needs, soliciting and processing
current and new customer orders, preparation of necessary USDA
documents for export loads and contracting for the transportation of
products to their final destination.
