Responsible for strategic and operational management of an ethics and
compliance function for a hospital performance improvement alliance with
over 1,400 employees, more than 2000 hospitals unite through the Premier
healthcare alliance.
Strategic Activities:
. Define and implement strategic growth of the ethics and compliance
function
. Articulate and interpret corporation's ethical standards
. Plan, implement and managing complex cross-functional projects that
publicize Ethics & Compliance Office by collaborating with all
business units and with employees at all levels of the organization
. Track and analyze trends and risks related to ethics and compliance,
perform annual internal audit

Guidelines, policies and procedures

Operational Activities:
. Conduct thorough investigations, of alleged violations alleged of the
Code of Conduct and Business Conduct Guidelines
. Respond to employee and sourcing committee members questions and
requests for counsel on application of the Code of Conduct, Business
Conduct Guidelines, policies, procedures and other ethical issues
. Ensure compliance with Code of Conduct, Business Conduct Guideline,
policies and related industry regulations -
. Maintain awareness and communicate related industry regulations;
HGPII, PhRMA, AvMed, HIPPA, HIPAA, HGPII, FPCA, and FSGO.
. Use creative marketing techniques to effectively communicate the
objectives of the Ethics & Compliance office
. Plan, design, implement and manage the Ethics & Compliance intra and
internet sites.
. Manage the provision of a 24-hour toll-free advice line for intake of
employee inquiries to the Ethics & Compliance Office
. Develop and implement education and communication programs on business
ethics for various stakeholders by:
o Working with Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS), SCORM,
multimedia development tools, interactive design, and simulation
o Using the ADDIE and SCORM design models, including theories of adult
learning as applied to training development for e-learning, on-site
and remote training modules.
o Examples of training topics are: Ethics, Compliance, Code of
Conduct, Sexual Harassment, Conflicts of Interest for Sales Staff
and Materials Managers
o Promote and boost awareness of the Ethics & Compliance Office
efforts in the community by playing an instrumental role in Premier
being awarded the; 2007 Charlotte Ethics in Business Award that is
present by the Charlotte chapter of the Society of Financial
Services Professionals and the 2006 Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award
