C-people

Dear Human Resources:

Please accept my resume in consideration for the MTS Realiability Engineer

position advertised on the internet. For more than two decades my

responsibilities have included providing RMS engineering analyzes directed

by military standards and satisfying reliability standards for hardware and

software. Additionally, I have successfully managed highly skilled

personnel and supported contract/proposal activities.

Primarily my professional activities have included Reliability

Maintainability and Safety (RMS) engineering on weapons systems, fire

control for missiles and aerospace platforms including both fixed and

rotary wing aircraft. Additionally I have supported weapons systems for

wheeled and tracked vehicles.

At Rolls Royce Gear Systems, my duties included providing RMS support for

all products including developing a Failure Mode Effects Criticality

Analysis (FMECA) database for all products produced. This database was

developed to MIL-STD-1629 "Procedure For Performing A Failure Mode, Effects

and Criticality Analysis". Additionally this proved to be a valuable

business tool. By tailoring data inputs to include information for other

business activities and coding, I provided interface reporting capabilities

and customer support.

For both internal business development and customer specifications, I have

performed Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) and Highly Accelerated

Stress Screening (HASS). Both results were from test plans I developed and

by processing Weibull algorithms specifically designed for life cycle

testing which provided meaningful HALT results.

For DoD programs, I successfully chaired Configuration Control Board (CCB)

meetings tasked with resolution of engineering change orders effecting form

fit and function. These board meeting included representatives from

Defense Contract Management Command (DCMC) and company design,

manufacturing and quality engineering with signature authority assisting

ECO resolution.

For DCMC specified programs, I was responsible for Failure Review Boards

(FRB) per MIL-STD-785, which included representatives from DCMC and

engineering. These weekly FRB's included resolution of each discrepancy

found during manufacturing or system operation under warranty period.

For commercial aviation products, my responsibilities required a through

knowledge and understanding of directing publications for Federal Aviation

Requirements (FAR), and Joint Aviation Requirements (JAR). As part of the

team responsible for company Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) repair

station and manufactures licenses, knowledge of all applicable parts of

these documents was essential. My contributions included providing Airbus

specific reliability and warranty requirements to their algorithms.

Successful satisfaction of these requirements required interpretation of

contract and interaction with my counterpart within the Airbus

organization.

Recently my concentration has been complete responsibility for assigned

engineering activities as defined by contractual obligations. These

obligations include design, manufacturing/assembly, quality/test

engineering with additional requirements for system

integration/verification and customer acceptance.

Using Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), Statement Of Work (SOW), I

established project requirements for design, manufacturing and quality

control/testing methods to satisfy these requirements.

Recent responsibilities include coordinating five separate business units

to provide the US Navy with systems for downward looking radar. Using

activities in MIL-STD-498 and Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System

(DOORS) I provided guidance and configuration management processes for

software assisting program success.

My experience and knowledge of many systems and sub-systems enhanced

performing analysis for reliability, maintainability, and system safety.

Some of these are the (V22 and C17) for navigation, communication, radar,

flight controls, landing gear, and power plant monitoring: fighter aircraft

(F14, F16, F22, and UCAV) for engine monitoring, heads up display, flight

controls and infrared systems.

Along with my experience in contract management, configuration management,

reliability, maintainability and system safety engineering I bring you

integrity and a strong work ethic. I certainly would appreciate the

opportunity to discuss how my experience would enhance your business.

Respectfully,
