SRA International, Fairfax, VA. February 2005 to present. Sr. Software
Engineer.
Currently working as Development Lead for Department of Army's Housing
division. Currently, implementing a collaboration website for Army Housing
in SharePoint 2010, Visual Studio 2010 and SQL Server 2008. Designed,
developed and deployed an army housing online user services web application
in ASP.NET 3.5, AJAX, SQL Server 2008. Implemented a portal prototype in
MOSS 2007, SQL Server 2008. Work involves setting up SharePoint
development, production, publishing environments on Windows Server 2008 R2,
creating site collections using SharePoint Central Admin module, branding
and customizing preliminary screens using SharePoint Designer, developing
features, webparts, SharePoint solution packages using Visual Studio 2008
SharePoint extensions, using WSPBuilder and central admin for deployment. A
prototype website was also developed using DotNetNuke to demo content
management capability to customer. Work also involves implementing
enhancements, operations and maintenance support for existing Army Housing
Enterprise .NET web applications. Performed Security scans and Information
Assurance updates on servers to meet DISA standards. Setup web traffic
management, performance monitoring of army sites using Google Analytics.
Worked with a team of developers for the Department of Army to assist with
operation and maintenance, production support of the Installations Support
Module developed using java server pages, servlets, enterprise JavaBeans
which access data from an Oracle 10g database.
Designed and developed an Electronic Loan Application process (ELA) for the
Office of Disaster Assistance at the Small Business Administration to
automate the disaster loan application process. The application was
implemented using .NET Framework 2.0, ASP.NET 2.0, Visual Studio 2005, C#,
XML with Oracle 10g as the database and ODP.NET 11g. Designed, developed,
and deployed the internal employee portal to be used for customer
assistance and ELA website administration. Served as the build manager and
maintained build automation scripts generated in ANT. Key functionality
incorporated were two-factor authentication using Anakam webservice,
CAPTCHA functionality, incorporation of online help using RoboHelp,
integrate with DynamicPDF.NET.
Worked at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as
the development lead to implement intranet based .NET web applications -
namely FS-AID, WCF-TS, and GLAS interface prototype. Field Support is a
financial planning, procurement or accounting system used by agency
personnel to manage, plan, commit/allocate and track the flow of funds for
missions all over the world. The application was developed in vb.net using
Visual Studio 2003 with SQL Server 2000 as the database. Working Capital
fund tracking system is a system used by USAID to plan and track funds
allocated by the US government to fight AIDS all over the world within 15
years. This application was developed using Visual Studio 2003, C#,
Infragistics, XML, SQL Server 2000. Both the systems interfaced with the
legacy system using WebMethods, Microsoft windows services.
Developed, maintained, and enhanced MyPBA application at PBGC. MyPBA
automates the pension benefit application process enabling users to create
a personalized online account to apply for, manage and track his/her
pension benefits. The application enables participants to perform various
transactions online -application of benefits, change of address, electronic
direct deposit, tax withholdings, designation of beneficiaries etc. The
business logic and data access layers have been implemented using VB.NET
with Oracle 9.2 as the database. Developed web services to interface with
external applications used to perform EDD transactions, to generate
reports, track accounts and customers/ participants. Used Rational Rose and
Rational XDE models designed by the architects. Automated test scripts
using TestDirector 7.6 and Mercury QuickTestPro 8.2.
Worked throughout the life-cycle of all applications- requirements
analysis, designing, development, testing, internal and production
deployments serving as the build manager and liaison between the
development team, configuration management and operations team. Assisted
the manager to create, develop Project Plans using MS Project, Work
Breakdown structures, status reports, mentored team members, conducted code
reviews, design reviews, established peer review process.

Avanade is a joint venture started up by Microsoft and Accenture, which is
the premier global technology integrator for Microsoft Enterprise
Solutions.
Project involved automating filing for unemployment benefits to The
Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE). Application was
implemented using n-tier architecture with a clear distinction between
presentation/user interface, business entities and logic/rules, data access
layers using object oriented methodology. The user interface was developed
in Seibel, .NET web services were used to exchange, transfer user
information to the SQL Server database via business and data access logic
layers developed in VB.NET.
Involved in entire SDLC lifecycle of project, validated and refined use
case models designed by the architects in Rational Rose, developed classes,
generated datasets, data tiers, webservices, windows service to schedule
batch jobs, stored procedures in T-SQL for several modules, involved in
unit, integration and user acceptance testing using NUnit., ensured code
was in line with Microsoft coding standards using FXCop.
