I am an experienced office manager seeking a position in the SFV or surrounding area. I just moved to California
about a year ago. Most of my legal experience is in the personal injury field; however, I am very quick to pick up new
things and I am not afraid of a challenge. For the last 15+ years I worked as office manager/paralegal/head negotiator
for a personal injury law firm in Ohio. The firm had gross profits of approx $100,000 when I first started in 1993, and
within three (3) years I had helped increase the firm's gross profits to over a half million per year, and over a million
within five years.
I believe in working hard and giving 100% plus to deliver the best legal services to clients. In the past I have overseen
all aspects of operating a personal injury law firm: from initial client intake, to overseeing and supervising all aspects
of cases through settlement and disbursement, and overall management of the employees and day to day affairs of the
firm under the attorney's supervision. I have experience having worked in a personal injury law firm as a paralegal or
legal assistant, with hands-on daily experience dealing with clients and adjusters and doctors and so forth, and know
how to initiate, handle and resolve personal injury claims from start to finish with the supervision of the attorney but
with great independence and self-initiative. I can easily handle the case load of over 125 personal injury files (all
aspects).
I am a mature candidate with ample experience in people management, and good people skills; a problem-solver and
issue-resolver. As an office manager I can oversee other staff to make sure that everyone is doing their job, keep
employee morale high (regular office meetings, celebrate their birthdays, holidays, etc I have my Juris Doctorate
in Law from the University of Toledo College of Law, I have an excellent attitude, and I am a team player. I am very
responsible, and extremely organized.
I have a home office complete with fax, desk, computer, high speed copier, etc. everything I would need to work from
home on any projects or files if needed. I am open to discussion about part time or full time, and could work from
home if necessary.
I realize I have to start from scratch again so my salary is negotiable.
