PERSONAL STATEMENT
I chose pharmacy as a profession for two reasons. The first, and slightly less important
reason, is because I have always enjoyed areas of the medical health field. The
second, and more important and personal reason, is because in 2002 my grandfather
died due to complications of a medication error while he was in the hospital. He was
incorrectly dosed and this ultimately led to his death. An error like this one can be
easily avoided with the correct skills and training, and I want to be a part of preventing
medication errors such as this one and offering superior patient care.
OBJECTIVE
My career objective is to be skilled in all aspects of pharmaceutical care in order to
provide the best patient care possible. I am seeking a position in which I would to be
able to demonstrate expertise and compassion toward patients in order to help them
reach their medication and healthcare goals.
