EXPERIENCE:
2004-Present Manufacturing Manager/ CNC programmer - Eagle Die
Responsible for:
Profit and loss of Eagle Die
Supervise the manufacturing of forging dies and production parts.
Develop CNC programs for the shop. Help build forging die as need
along with trim dies.
Improve and increase production of forging dies and manufacturing of
parts thru better machining strategies and using latest cutter technology.
Maintaining quality records and first article inspections of parts and dies
manufactured.
During a recent Corporate consolidation with the merger of two
companies within the corporation, I was asked to be the manager for the
merger of the 2 companies.
Doubling the size of the current company, machines and personnel.
Managing shop hours, scheduling, safety, and daily reports.
Executes personnel actions including hiring, promotions, performance
reviews and any disciplinary measures.
Training, challenging, teaching and coaching employees.
PM and maintenance of all equipment.
Knowledge of the machines and understanding the capabilities and
limitations helps in the programming of the CNC's.
Determine manufacturing methods, prepare process sheets, work
instructions, tooling requirements and ordering tooling as needed.
Facilitate continuous improvement to reduce / eliminate waste through
workforce organization, simplifying/standardizing set-ups.
Working with other companies and departments within the corporation
to continuous Improvement.
Reduce manufacturing operations costs through innovation and
productivity.
Implemented the 5S philosophy of lean manufacturing.

1991-2004 Moldmaker/CNC Programmer - Industrial Molds
Started a parts department running a 1st and 2nd shift. My duties
included
CNC programming for mold components to be sent out for heat treating
then be precision ground and assembled on the mold.
The developing of newer employees to understand the the mold making
process by working in my department by working on components of the
molds.
Built plastic injection molds from single cavity proto types to 30 ton
molds.
I use the latest computers, CNC's, and tooling technology for building &
repairing plastic injection molds.
Became Lead moldmaker on the shop floor within 7 years with the
company. I was asked to set up a in house CNC training using Surfcam
CNC software and trained moldmakers and toolmakers the necessary
training to improve knowledge in the software.
Contributed to product design by providing technical capabilities of
equipment by offering solutions. Maintaining safe work environment by
following company standards and procedures.
Updated job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities;
reading technical publications.
Accomplished the manufacturing of molds by completing related results
as needed.
