Director/Instructor of Wind Energy Technology - Mesalands Community

College, Tucumcari, NM 2008-2009

Apply ISD and RPD techniques to design, develop, implement, deliver (30+

students) and evaluate new 1-year Diploma and 2-year A.S. Wind Energy

Technology Degree Program. Obtain and maintain program and student

materials and operational capabilities. Advocate and guest speaker for

state gubernatorial events to promote renewable energy and economic

development. Owner Project Manager for GE1.5MW SLE MK VI wind turbine

erection, installation and maintenance. Create and deliver internal reports

for college President, Deans and external accreditation organization.

Technical Training Manager - Mitsubishi Power Systems America, Palm Springs

& Newport Beach, CA 2007-2008

Work closely with HR, Safety, Service, and Project Sr. Management to

successfully create and deliver MPSA's first structured Maintenance

Training Program. Work with Construction Managers to successfully create

Technical Advisor Task Training Program. Work closely with internal

Environmental Health & Safety Manager to ensure all aspects of OSHA

Wind Turbine Generator Site Supervisor - Vestas American Wind Technology,

Palm Springs & Tehachapi, CA 2005-2007

Manage daily operations of 2-offices, 17-wind farms and personnel for

corporation and 12-customers. Responsible for Site operations budget and

$2.5M+ of warehouse components and tooling. Provide leadership and

direction to Lead Technicians, Technicians, Office Administrators,

Inventory Coordinators, travelling/special project technicians. Ensure

compliance and overall safety of personnel, offices, warehouses and wind

farms. Responsibilities and accountability included: monitoring, reporting

and maintaining site performances, scheduling and conducting customer and

management meetings, coordination and scheduling maintenances and major

component repairs and replacements, budgeting input and compliance.

Negotiate and coordinate efforts with contractors, suppliers and customers

to successfully meet operational and contractual requirements. Carry out

responsibilities in accordance to company policies and procedures. Assist

with medium and long range strategic planning. Successful Team Leader and

Team Member of various internal Quality Improvement Process groups -

Working with various internal departments; apply ISD principles to create

Wind Turbine Technician skill-sets for operation and maintenance - sought

out by technical colleges, universities and other companies for results.

Create, implement and evaluate a structured On-the-Job Training Program -

the first of its kind within the US wind industry. Successfully provide

classroom training and field certifications of operation and maintenance of

various models and product lines using technical documentation. Recommend

revisions to technical documentation as determined. Attended and/or deliver

extensive hours of product line training for various locations in the

United States, Denmark and Costa Rica to owners and customers. Design and

instruct internal train-the-trainer program for field and corporate

Navy Instructor: Integrated Towed Array and Sonobuoy Sensors (ITASS)

maintenance and repair and Subject Matter Expert on various assemblies.

Work with E-learning Design Specialist to create e-learning training.

Certified Naval Instructor and ITASS Instructor. Apply ISD principles to 9-

month ITASS program and instruct. As Division Leading Petty Officer,

responsibilities included: managing staff and other personnel (up to 600)

in various duties and facets. Schedule, maintain, repair and report:

weekly, bi-monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual preventive maintenance

outcomes. Work with land-based technical support personnel to assist in

planned maintenance system documentation revisions for new multi-million

dollar sonar system. Identify, track and log sounds produced by surface

ships, torpedoes, submarines, evasion devices, sonar transmissions, marine

life and natural phenomena. Operate sonar sensors for detection and

classification of contacts. Identify the characteristics, functions and

effects of controlled jamming and evasive devices on sonar operations.

Prepare and interpret sonar messages. Operate and repair underwater fire

control, deck and vertical launch torpedo torpedoes, anti-submarine rockets

and communication systems. Recognize and repair major equipment

malfunctions during sensor operations; operate and repair tape recorders,

bathythermographs and fathometers. Track, perform and report division

spaces and sonar equipment preventive maintenances. Use electronic

troubleshooting equipment and hand tools. Recommend and perform evasive

countermeasures and maneuvers. Calculate optimal tracking, detection,

counter detection, sound propagation, and performance capabilities and
