I've seen programming languages come and go in my 25 years of developing,
but for the last 10 years I have worked almost exclusively with Java
technologies. This is my forte. I've learned the hard way (by making lots
of mistakes) the importance of following best practices and I seek to
instill these values in junior members of my team. In particular, I am a
stickler for documentation. I've seen too many applications tumble
helplessly out of control and into "putting out fires" mode because
developers hadn't bothered to provide adequate and accurate documentation.
