PROJECTS
. New product introduction, layout and development - Production engineer
that defined and developed product from drawing board to production
floor. Performed as manufacturing facility new product project lead,
manufacturing engineer, quality engineer, test engineer, and industrial
engineer. Defined acceptance criteria, purchased, installed and created
layout for 20 pieces of new equipment. Resolved process, material,
people, method and equipment issues. Result of the implementation was
production of 250,000 units in 6 months, the fastest Time to Market
product ever for Honeywell, Six Sigma quality at end of line, and a
product that was being produced over 10 years later.
. F-18/AMC electronic kits production line quality and throughput - The end
items, electronic circuit cards, went to the customers General Dynamics
and Boeing for the U.S. Navy. Modified production line to meet demand.
Determined labor requirements, changed processes and made improvements to
increase output of line, meet delivery, and improve quality. Decreased
throughput time for product by 20%. Increased output from 5 year
historical average of 2 kits per week to 10 kits per week. Created
design changes, quality and process improvements using engineering, TPM
and Six Sigma Methods.
. Development and manufacture of the Boeing 747-8 Freighter and
Intercontinental airplanes - Manufacturing Engineer for the development
and manufacture of the new Boeing 747-8 Freighter and Intercontinental
airplanes. Change Management Analyst for Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental
airplane. Responsible for 5 panels. Determined and scheduled work for
Engineers, Planners and Quality personnel.
. Honeywell Facility Capacity Study and Implementation - Project gathered
data, analyzed data and created solution. Team entered data into SAP.
Project helped facility improve delivery, decrease throughput and
decrease part shortages.
. Automated Material Handling System Implementation at Intel - One of 30
engineers that installed and implemented largest AMHS in the largest
semiconductor Fab in the world. Results: finished on time and under
budget for the first time for the company.
. Computer new product introduction - Manufacturing Engineer responsible
for introduction of new computer that was designated a supercomputer that
fit on a desktop. Designed and implemented layout, and developed product
concurrently with design and new products group. Results: Highest
revenue workstation in 2nd largest computer company in the world.
. Product Transfers - Manufacturing Engineer taking a leading project role
in over 25 product transfers to and from the home facility. Transfers
and expansions to U.S., Mexico and other country locations included
layout, electronic product, aerospace product, mechanical product,
equipment, process, material and people issues. Results: Successful
product transfers or expansions to 6 different states and 4 different
countries.
. Equipment Engineering - Experienced and proven capability in all aspects
of equipment lifecycle for manufacturing. Areas of experience include
budget, determination of need, selection, purchase, installation,
qualification, maintenance, improvement, modifications and upgrades.
Work people issues such as training, vendor, customer, internal customer,
quality, project and management. Equipment experience includes simple
mechanical tools, to automated equipment, to the most complicated tools
in the world. Results: Outstanding results in meeting schedule, meeting
new product introduction milestones, TPM project, quality improvements,
implementing new applications, improving lifecycle and ROI on tools and
product lines.
