URS Corp., May 2008 – Current
Design Engineer – Responsible for design and specification of construction and demolition projects for Anniston Army
Base Chemical Agent Destruction Facility (ANCDF). Ensured compliance with applicable environmental and safety
requirements including EPA, ADEM, and Army regulations. Maintained NAC-I security clearance for access to restricted
areas. Directed work of drafters/designers.
Duties included design of single lines, panels, equipment spec & take-offs, equipment plans & sections, arrangements, and
lighting, start-up & commissioning, decommissioning (as-built verification, demolition design)
Electrical Engineer - Responsible for electrical design and specifications including calculations, single-line diagrams, cable
tray and conduit routing, and electrical equipment including motors, controls, panels, starting and protective devices,
substations, and distribution, grounding, and lighting circuits.
PROJECTS:
• Power Plant fire recovery project - Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority(PREPA), Palo Seco, PR
Responsible for power plans, single lines, interconnects, cable routing, and drawing checking.
• Power Plant flood recovery project - Alliant Energy, Cedar Rapids, IA
Initial damage assessment, cable tray/raceway survey, panel/transformer specification and procurement, developed
electrical package for new reverse osmosis unit (calculations, power plans, single lines, and equipment specifications)
• Advanced Metering Initiative – NAVFAC Southeast
Performed onsite equipment surveys and made recommendations on replacing electrical meters for efficiency, reliability,
or communications compatibility.
• P-002V Explosives Development Facility - NAVFAC, Indian Head, ME
Developed bid package & identified vendors for CCTV system, lead development of power & lighting plans and conduit
routing, developed transient surge suppression requirements, ensured compliance with hazardous area requirements.
Mississippi State University Physical Plant - May 2004 – May 2008(3 years)
Engineers Assistant - Maintained and operated campus utilities including power plant and steam facility, created material
requisitions for facility maintenance and repair, and inspected equipment servicing. Created operating procedures for new
power plant, maintained environment impact records, and wrote capital expenditure justifications.

Co-op Engineer - Performed electrical design and specification under senior engineering supervision. Assisted field
technicians with acceptance testing, and equipment fault analysis. Three 4-month rotations through plant maintenance,
