• Provided oversight for the planning, design and construction of City facilities by outside contractors and
engineering consultants, including but not limited to, sanitary sewers, force mains and pump stations; water
mains; storm sewers and drainage structures; streets, curbs, gutters and sidewalks; and parks and recreation
facilities. Maintained work in progress and approved payments to Contractors and Professional
Consultants. Performed project administration and inspection services for all City contracts. Completed
in-house design and construction plan preparation for selected City facilities and infrastructure.
• Provided guidance to City Management on the use and oversight of outside contractors/consultants for
various public works design and construction projects.
• Conferred with City Attorney on legal matters as required. Interacted with citizens, neighborhood groups,
civic organizations, private and government agencies and boards. Maintained continuous liaison with
various state and federal agencies regarding regulations, project approvals and funding of projects.
