Dahlgren, VA. Created MAC requests and performed follow ups for computer
and printer repairs at both sites to make sure they were done in a timely
manner. Created MAC requests for adding and deleting users to the NMCI
network. Maintained detailed records for both sites for LAN line
connections and location of all equipment. This information included IP
addresses, LAN jack ID numbers, serial numbers of all equipment, NMCI ID
numbers, and user ID's. Conducted yearly security training. Monitored
security access on all computers for unauthorized users. Added, deleted
and changed users for telephone access.
Performed duties as the Source Data Systems (SDS) Site Manager, LAN
Administrator, and Assistant Terminal Area Security Officer (TASO).
Download, disseminate and distribute to PSD personnel, and base commands,

Supervise and assign all audit, data entry and verification functions of
field accounts for accounting and mathematical accuracy using accounting
principles contained in Naval Standard Operation Procedures 3520 for
Morale, Welfare and Recreation Funds, and Billeting and Civilian Funds on
Naval bases worldwide. Implement, modify, test, control and program all
software configurations for a DOS based VIKING software application and REI
(Recognition Systems International) TARTAN headsdown data entry system
utilizing a Wyse60 keyboard. The testing and implementation of the VIKING
software resulted in the replacement of the TARTAN system and is currently
being used by the Bureau of Naval Personnel in Millington, TN for their
data entry functions. Provide training for audit and entry and advanced
levels of data
Entry functions. Develop methods and procedures that are to be followed by
subordinates in carrying out assigned duties. Supervise 9 data entry/audit
clerks. Conduct interviews and selection of applicants for positions on the
data entry/audit staff. Control, coordinate, and maintain

technical information to management personnel and other supervisors.

Key enter, verify, and correct all accounting source data for Navy
activities worldwide, for mathematical and accounting accuracy, using a
Recognition TARTAN data entry key to disk system. Key enters and verifies
accounting data from interoffice central funds and loans' department for
mathematical and accounting accuracy. Transferred all data onto magnetic
tapes for mainframe processing. Research and correct errors from a
computer generated error listing created by a 4361 IBM main frame. Provide
training for entry and advanced levels of data entry functions. Co-
ordinate with the Data Entry Supervisor on distribution of work loads to
ensure dead lines are met.
