EXPERIENCE
Virginia International Terminals - Norfolk, Virginia
Rail Operations Superintendent - (7/2007-8/2009)
Responsible for loading and unloading of cargo containers on inbound and
outbound rail cars. Coordinated with Norfolk Southern Railroads, the
inbound and outbound trains due in and out of the terminal. Set up the
production of loading and unloading cargo containers on rail cars.
Supervised approximately 50-60 ILA union members to carry out production
schedule. Other responsibilities included training, coaching,
scheduling,inventory,payroll, issue resolution, and communicating with
other departments to resolve production issues.

International Paper - Franklin, Virginia
Dry End Superintendent - (2005-2007)
Responsible for three departments: Planer, Drying, and Shipping. Team
members included: three supervisors, five team leaders, and sixty hourly
employees. Department responsibilities included: laying out production
schedules, meeting production requirements, assuring all quality procedures
were being met, keeping department at or below budgeted cost, and assuring
peak equipment efficiency. Other duties included: payroll, hiring,
scheduling, inventory, training, coaching, performance evaluation, issue
resolution, communicating with other departments to resolve production
issues, and recording all production information. Also, all maintenance
work orders were entered on the SAP Maintenance System, and work orders
were prioritized with the Maintenance Superintendent.

Dry End Supervisor (2003-2005)
Responsible for First Shift Planer Mill and Drying Department. Team
members included: three team leaders and thirty-one hourly employees.
Responsible for three computerized drying kilns and an automated wood
planning operation, four-man clean-up crew, all forklift operations, and
ordered and maintained all manufacturing supplies.

Department was a computerized and automated lumber cutting mill.

assuring that paint equipment, fluid pumps, air compressors, and overhead
cranes were in peak operating condition.
