1994-1995- Position: Guest room attendant: Responsibilities: to clean and maintain the guest
rooms in accordance with established hotel procedures. To clean a minimum of 16 to 20 rooms
per shift, to enteract with guest and other employee's in a courteous, empathetic and discreet
manner. To support and maintain company guidelines, while performing other duties as assigned.
1995-1997- Position: Floor supervisor/ shift supervisor: Responsibilities: to inspect rooms, to
ensure that the hotel's standards of quality were met. To provide the guest room attendants with
room corrections, follow through to ensure corrections were made. To maintain a work knowledge
of approved housekeeping methods and cleaning techniques, to train and supervise personnel
while assisting with the cleaning of rooms as the level of business dictates. ( worked all shifts):
1998-2006 - Position: Assistant Executive Housekeeper: Responsibilities: to assist the
housekeeping manager with room inspections to ensure the hotel's high standards on cleaning
procedures were being met. To schedule all rooms to be deep cleaned and carpets for
shampooing, twice monthly. Assist in taking end of the month inventory, breaking out and shutting
down the house, Over seeing rooms turned in a timely manner, payroll approved daily before
noon, to work varying schedules. To do weekly training recaps and daily buzz sessions with each
shift.
December 2006- July 31,2009- Position: Property Service Shift Manager: Responsibilities: to
assist the property service manager in all housekeeping activities for the hotel, boat and land
base facilities. Direct housekeeping programs to ensure clean, orderly and attractive conditions of
the establishment by performing the following duties.
Supervising indirectly a work force of approximately 300 or more employee's engaged in
housekeeping duties.
Interviewed and selected job applicants, rated subordinates, approved vacations and PTO's,
enforced policies and administered discipline. Planned work schedules to ensure adequate
service, implemented training and retraining programs, inspected daily the conditions of the
property. Submitted work orders for repairs and safety issues, inventory supplies and equipment,
investigate new and improved cleaning istruments and methods, complete and submitt over time
authorizations when applicable, submitt weekly department incentives, ensure payroll was correct
and approved on time, assist the property service manager in establishing standards for
personnel administration and performance. In the absence of the property service manager,
assume her duties.
