Accomplishments at EMD Chemicals Inc.:
> Entrusted by senior management with implementation project management and
training for a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for EMD
Chemicals, Inc., transitioning the maintenance approach from 100%
reactive to 80% proactive, while improving the productivity of the team.
This was accomplished by successfully transitioning the production and
maintenance teams to a performance metric driven, scheduled maintenance
program by utilizing computerized maintenance management systems,
providing reliability and trade skills training and cultivating
collaborative production schedules supporting maintenance activities. As
a result, achieved a 9% reduction of plant headcount while meeting
productivity goals.
> Responsible project manager coordinating design and supervision of
construction to address mold and environmental air quality remediation
for a 60,000 square foot R&D facility for EMD Chemicals, Inc. that
included the replacement of all ventilation systems while utilizing
temporary equipment. Construction was completed without any laboratory
interruptions for resident research scientists during the duration of the
project.
