Career Summary:
Twenty eight years of executive experience successfully managing operations
and personnel in diverse organizations/projects both as a civilian and a
Marine Corps Officer. Over the course of the last seven years I have
managed both an international airport, and international property/business
project. Each of these organizations required me to manage, coordinate
with, and train civilians, and foreign nationals.
Recent Achievements:
Designed and developed an investment/business in an emerging Southeast Asia
tourist destination. Utilizing the three previous years work experience in
Southeast Asia, established a profitable property investment/business in an
international market. Within two years this property/business was appraised
with a 110% appreciation on the initial investment by independent auditor,
even during a worldwide economic downturn.
. Identified a developing market and property location.
. Established two overseas limited companies to ensure property rights.
. Developed a business plan, taking into account the foreign laws and
regulations.
. Established a funding plan and identified the funding resources.
. Developed renovation plan and oversaw the renovation utilizing foreign
contractors and laborers.
. Designed and managed an integrated accounting and inventory control
system.
. Hired and trained a strong management team.
Managed all administrative and operational functions, as well as
facilities, for an international airport in Okinawa Japan. This airport,
Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, is arguably the most politically
sensitive airport in the Pacific region; under extreme political scrutiny
and with numerous foreign national demonstrations. At the time of my
arrival this airport had severe budget shortfalls and had a high incidence
of runway incursions. In three short years I was able to realign funding
priorities to negate budget shortfalls and reorganize and retrain the Air
Traffic Control (ATC) department, sharply reducing runway incursions.
. Oversaw extensive renovation of airport's ATC facilities and
equipment.
. Re-organized personnel staffing leading to a balanced airport budget.
. Conducted safety review and re-training of ATC personnel, sharply
reducing runway incursions.
Managed a corporate jet aviation service in Southeast Asia. Prior to my
arrival, this organization's established service area was Korea, Japan and
the Philippines. I was able to expand the organization's service area
seven fold to airports as far east as Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands, as
far west as the

Maldives in the Indian Ocean and as far south as Australia. During this
same period I identified new client sources and tripled the customer base.
. Established excellent working relationships with embassies throughout
Southeast Asia; coordinating with embassy contract personnel, as well
as foreign civilian personnel and government officials.
. Created efficiencies within the corporate air service in order to
maximize service without reducing the reliability or seat capacity of
the previously established service area.
. Developed a web based scheduling system; reducing errors and creating
efficiencies.
. Established support and funding for additional aircraft.
. Marketed the business in a non-profit oriented organization, where the
direct competition was a business class seat aboard a reputable
international airline.
. Won the Department of Defense Transportation award.
