Responsible for selection of new components for use
in new and existing designs. Worked very closely
with design engineers and procurement to assist
them in component selection, acquiring samples, and
obtaining competitive pricing.
Managed components data base, including approved
vendor listing, establishing schematic symbols and
maintaining current component data sheets.
Responsible for component data entry into SAP and
MRPS.
Worked with Receiving / Inspection to identify
parts problems and then communicate with vendors to
resolve them. Also found new sources for obsolete
parts.
Worked to prepare the company for European Union's
Restriction of Hazardous Materials (RoHS) and Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
directives.
Analog Design Engineer

Performed the electrical design and managed the
complete design team for new product development,
making sure that all aspects of the design process
were completed in a timely manner. Directed the
mechanical and printed circuit board design for my
projects.
Responsible for buildup and integration once design
was complete. Included assembly, testing, holding
design reviews and implementing changes as needed.
Oversaw the creation of the bill of materials,
check out procedures and owners manuals as products
were developed.
Trained production personnel for assembly and
checkout of new products as the products were
released and helped smooth the transition from
design to production. Supplied technical
assistance for production and the service
department as needed.
