Objective: For Search of Employment
Experience
Killion Communications Position: Drafting Technician
302 W Palm St.
Roodhouse, IL 62082
Using the EWO (Engineering Work Order) I would draft work prints for use in the work
field of communication cable placement. Ewo is a record of cable already placed in the
work field. First drafts would be drafted records of existing cable. Engineers would use
these prints while examining an area for new cable. Once the engineer knew how they
were laying out the cable and their sizes, I would receive the red lined prints for drafting.
Cable counts and equipment would be placed in the EWO records along with cable and
the correct sizes. Once that was done then I would create new prints with all above
information adding buildings, roads, and any other details that the engineer had red lined.
Finished prints would be checked and then go to the field to construction.
2005-2007
Celanese Emulsions Position: Laborer/Operator
1989 Old Naples Road
Meredosia, IL 62665-7261
Started work for this plant through the work placement company Unique Personnel. This
particular plant made adhesives used by big companies such as Kelloggs. I started in the
pump room where the finished product was pumped from reactor tanks to storage tanks.
These were large pumps that moved thousands of gallons in a short period of time. I
didn’t stay in the pump room to awful long till I was moved to mixing. There I would
weigh up materials so that they were dumped in large tanks to be pumped to the reactor.
The reactor put these ingredients under extreme pressure and heat to emulsify. I spent
even less time there when I was moved to operator. This was the top position. The reactor
was operated by computer. It was a important that all gages were watched. Gases were
used and had to be controlled so that the reactor didn’t get to hot or under to much
pressure and explode. The company down sized and I was moved to mixer again in a
different department.
