CAREER HISTORY

August 2008 to present

Art director / Mayo Clinic - Rochester, MN.

I started at Mayo Clinic primarily designing and

coding static web sites, then handing them off to

programmers for dynamic functionality, and then art

directing at that point. The need was apparent for a

heavier focus on print design and production, and my

main role for some time has been book production as

well as various print pieces.

April 2008 to August 2008

Freelance Flash presentations / Hewitt - Chicago, IL

December 2006 to April 2008

Senior web designer / Art Director / Print production

Nightingale-Conant - Niles, IL.

Nightingale-Conant sells audio and video programs

through direct-mail and the internet. My role was to

design the web site and print support materials,

and oversee 2 junior designers and 3 .NET developers.

I also acted as IA for

the web site.

March 2005 to May 2006

Art director / Marketing Communications Director

Clarity Consulting - Chicago, IL.

Clarity Consulting, is a technology services firm in

Chicago. My duties included media design, copywriting

and strategic & tactical marketing. I initiated a

company blog and wrote my own marketing-

communications blog as well. I created trade show

graphics and designed the booth we used at the shows.

I also designed several graphics and software

interfaces that Microsoft used to demo their latest

products.

January 2002 to March 2005

Owner-creative lead / Mediactrics - Flagstaff, AZ

Working with mainly clients from the Phoenix area, I

designed marketing communications and informational

materials on a corporate level that included print

such as brochures, ads and annual reports, to e-

commerce web sites. I would act as project manager

and hire contractors to produce my designs, and would

also do some web HTML/CSS and Flash production

along with print production.

October 1991 to November 2001

Multimedia producer / Art director

Speedfam Corp - Chandler, AZ.

Speedfam Corporation was an established semiconductor

manufacturer with several international locations

headquartered in Chandler, AZ. Under the direction of

the Marketing Director, I was responsible for an

extensive intranet, and for creating and implementing

internal & external multimedia training CDs and video

productions for many international trade shows, where

I worked with programmers to display my work on large

TV-walls. I created 3D animations and performed all

video editing, CD authoring and HTML coding. I also

acted as Art Director to outside advertising agencies

and designed several print pieces promoting the

various company offerings.

July 1987 to October 1991

Video director / producer / editor

Turbo products - Tempe, AZ.

I produced and directed corporate video presentations

in Phoenix, AZ for Turbo Productions. I wrote

scripts, designed sets, rehearsed actors, directed

camera-crews, edited video and audio and in general,

supervised every person having something to do with

the productions, sometimes as many as 75 people for a

children's show I produced and co-wrote.

Awards: Winner, 2001 American Marketing Assoc

Ballyhoo award for best new product marketing

campaign & artwork.This award was presented for my

creation of a web site, Flash CD and print identity

system for Cyber Mktg. Inc in Phoenix, AZ.
