Work Experience

DIG IRRIGATION PRODUCTS, VISTA, CA

Title: SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SALES 2005 – 2010

DIG Irrigation Products is a rapidly growing, innovative irrigation products manufacturer located in

Southern California. DIG’s product line focuses on two fronts; Drip and Agricultural Irrigation products

and Alternative Powered Irrigation Controllers. Alternative products consist of battery operated irrigation

controllers and LEIT (Ambient or Solar powered); our flagship product.

I was responsible for the Southern California territory which consists of the area from Paso Robles to

Bakersfield to Victorville and everything south to the border of Mexico. This position not only requires the

nurturing of our current customer base but also prospecting new business through calls, presentations and

one on one meetings with distributors, nurseries, growers, municipalities, school districts, landscapers,

irrigation consultants and landscape architects. Southern California is a very demanding territory yet very

rewarding at the same time.

This position also allowed me to utilize my past experience of installing irrigation systems. I have done my

fair share in the field assisting customers with product problems and troubleshooting; going the extra mile

(literally!) to ensure that they are comfortable and satisfied with DIG products. I believe that assisting

customers out in the field in this manner is VERY IMPORTANT; this is what makes a good representative,

great! I know that the end user appreciates the attention in the field. The end user is the most important part

of the distribution cycle.

I was fortunate enough two years ago to represent DIG at the Australian Irrigation Show in Melbourne, AU.

This was an unbelievable experience! I was personally selected to represent DIG at the show based on my

hard work and increased sales in my respective territory. I also represented DIG at Agro Baja in Mexicali,

MX. I teamed up with a different distributor each year to showcase DIG and help our relationship with our

dealers. Agro Baja was attended by DIG in 2007 and 2010.

I increased sales in my territory an average of 13 15% over my first two years with DIG and have been able

to keep sales on par for 2008, at 2007 levels. This is due to my strong work ethic and extensive knowledge

in the field but also due to my personal belief in our unique product line. 2009 was still a strong year for

DIG; we remained profitable.

GLOBAL IRRIGATION, BAKERSFIELD, CA

Title: REGIONAL SALES MANAGER 2004 2005

Global Irrigation is a small to medium size manufacturer of a wide variety of Drip and Agricultural

Irrigation Products. My responsibilities included developing the customer base in the areas of NV, AZ,

NM, TX, LA, GA and FL. I was able to successfully increase those areas by scheduling three to four trips

in each state throughout the year. The physical demands of covering such a vast area demanded a

commitment to a strong work ethic, above average organizational and time management skills as well as

patience. During my time with Global I was able to sign up 20+ new accounts that Global currently sells to

today. I enjoyed prospecting and searching out new business and found that creativity is KEY in finding

new accounts! I believe that there is always new business out there to be found, you just need to unearth it.

Although my travel schedule was extensive I was still able to prospect customers from all over the

country and discuss with them how Global was able to better suit their current as well as future needs.

Exceptional customer service and follow through were the foundations of my success with Global Irrigation

as I was committed to calling customers and attending to their needs immediately when there was a

situation that required my attention.

WATERWORKS IRRIGATION OSTERVILLE, MA

Title: INSTALLER/FOREMAN

1994 2004.

I assisted in the installation of residential and commercial lawn sprinkler systems. Waterworks

Irrigation was a family owned business. This was a physically demanding position that required a 40 hour

plus work week due to the majority of the installing being done throughout the summer months. My duties

included every facet of residential and commercial sprinkler system installation as well as assisting with the

maintenance of our companies 1,000+ accounts. This job taught me discipline and improved my work ethic

tremendously. This job also introduced me to the many different manufactures of irrigation products in the

country.
