I am currently seeking employment in the medical field as a

Medical Assistant. I have worked in many different areas of

medical assisting . I would appreciate the opportunity to

Qualifications

I am an experienced Medical Assistant of 17 years. I

graduated from Concorde Career Institute in Jacksonville

Florida. During this time I have worked in many different

fields of medical assisting. While in Jacksonville I worked

for a Gastroenterologist. After moving to Oregon I worked

at a fast paced Urgent Care Clinic from 1998 1999, and

then moved on to the Salem Clinic where I was employed

from 1999 2010.

Relevant Experience

I have worked in many different aspects of medical assisting.

I have worked in Urgent Care facilities where I was responsible

for triaging, and taking basic vital signs. There I also assisted with

minor surgical procedures, and phlebotomy. The clinic provided

physical therapy as well, so this became another responsibility

of my job requirement. While working at The Salem Clinic I was

trained in all areas of medical assisting. I worked in family medicine,

internal medicine, ob/gyn, and also the surgery department.

Other Experience

My duties also included front office work. I was responsible

for scheduling surgery procedures at the hospital as well as

clinic patients. Working in the surgery department often

meant same day rescheduling with little notice. Salem Clinic

used electronic medical records, so I am familiar with that

system and using a computer. I took care of patient referrals

and usually scheduled appointments with the specialists myself.
