Held increasing levels of responsibility over the years of
employment with Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) starting from
Electronic Specialist Technician and including Maintenance and
Facilities Engineering, Staff and Department Manager. Facility
responsibility included maintenance of six-million ft of
facilities on a thousand acre site with twelve-thousand employees.
Manager II, Facilities Engineering 10/2007 - 10/2009
Responsibilities included 108 bargaining unit employees and 10
salary employees for the Facilities and Equipment Maintenance
Department. Financial duties included the responsibility of $12 MM
expense budget, capital planning and budgeting, and budget
reporting. Ensured regulatory compliance with company policy,
insurance and government agencies, calibration, and certification
programs. Developed sourcing gateway and ensured compliance with
Global Sourcing requirements and sourcing processes, within the
agreed service scope of MRO services and supplies.
Manager I, Facilities Engineering 1/2003 - 10/2007
Manage facility-wide maintenance and capital program maximizing
asset reliability, uptime, and cost effectiveness with available
resources. Created and implemented inventory control program with
$7 MM in stock in addition to third-party inventory management on
fifty-thousand work orders annually. Developed and upgraded
Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP-PM) in support of
TPM program. Responsibility for Project Management and long-term
planning for the facility and equipment needs including major
repairs and shutdown activities.
Facilities II, Engineer 1/2001 - 1/2003
Lead Predictive Maintenance and Reliability Engineer creating the
reliability maintenance strategy with ten-thousand pieces of
equipment. Created and designed PM program utilizing basic
maintenance fundamentals, tracking and predictive technology
(vibration analysis, ultrasonic detection, thermographs, ball bar,
laser alignment, oil analysis, dynamic balancing, and motor
testing).
Electronic Specialist Technician 10/1995 - 1/2001
Provided expert technical services for the maintenance and repair of
automated production equipment. Manufacturing processes in
composite manufacturing, conventional to high-speed CNC machining,
laser cutting, weld, heat treat, sheet metal, process-lines,
precision grinding, chemical milling, and assembly. Infrastructure
needs include airport, compressed air, steam generation, natural gas
well storage, and 12.5 KV electrical power distributions.
