Primary responsibility is to manage every aspect of the main office and
satellite offices in Manhattan and Flushing, Queens. Position reports
directly to the Managing Partner and the Executive Committee, of which I am
a contributing member.
Position requires me to represent the Firm at social, political and client-
sponsored functions.
o Facilities Management
> Maintenance of physical office space and appearance

> communication with and supervision of contractors, sub-
contractors and vendors
> supervision of hospitality services, which includes cleaning
service, car service vendors and travel service providers;
> responsible for contracting with off-site copy service providers
and storage facilities
> acquisition of all office equipment and furniture; negotiation
of service contracts and equipment leases renewals and
implementation of product or services;
> prepare renewal applications for professional liability, and all
other business related insurance policies, including but not
limited to premise liability, ERISA, and Workers Compensation;
> responsible for public relation initiatives (marketing, program
and event sponsorship, legal directories).
o Financial Administration
> financial growth and strategic planning
> manage offices' daily cash flow; prepare quarterly Profit/Loss
statements and monthly budget reports; draft and implement
finalized operating budget
> accounting of capital expenses and depreciation values; work
closely with accountant to produce quarterly and annual tax
returns and financial statements;
> process weekly payroll and review quarterly tax submissions
> liaison to local banks; supervision of reconciliation of client
escrow and IOLA accounts; supervise bookkeeper's daily
responsibilities regarding accounts payables, accounts
receivables and the management and reconciliation of the Main
Operating Account;
> oversee Firm's monthly billing to clients and collection of
severely aged receivables
o Network Administration
> on-site technology set-up and maintenance (LAN, WAN, exchange
server, accounting server, data backup, terminal server/remote
access VPN, and telephone switch);
> responsible for firm's web site; updates to attorney bios,
current news; and working with web designer on search engine
optimization
> new hardware roll-outs; implementation of new software and
training
> telecommunications liaison to vendors and carrier; working
knowledge of various telecommunication hardware (PBX, T1, Voice
mail, VOIP); manage voice mail system
> responsible for retaining consultants and working with them to
achieve the technical needs of the Firm.
o Human Resources Administration
> responsible for contractual matters among partners, including
buy & sell agreement, compensation packages, and capital
contracts
> supervision of all staff employees; recruit and interview
attorneys
> maintain a vote on practice area structure, goals and growth
> analyze medical and dental coverage, which has included research
and comparison of plans and benefits, including HSA, HRA, and
FSA's;
> responsible for analyzing market for best 401K platform; process
401k contributions and loans
> produce salary comparisons; determine annual increases and
bonuses based on merit and the market; preside over the employee-
review process;
> conduct a due diligence investigation on all new attorneys
(lateral hires and first-years); promote CLE's for annual
registration requirements;
> coordination of all social events (summer picnic and softball
game; family orientated Holiday Party; and quarterly staff
events)
