• Over twenty years experience troubleshooting residential and light commercial split system and packaged air

March, 2008 - July, 2010 - Carrier Commercial Services - Service Account Manager - Austin, Texas
Identify key clients and find new ones through the use of leads and cold calls. Develop relationships with building engineers and
property managers. Create opportunities within facilities by identifying customer "pain" through job walks, reviewing drawings, and
listening to the customer. Present solutions to customers through written proposals and maintenance contracts. Sold maintenance
contracts, heavy equipment including air and water-cooled chillers, rooftop units, split systems and controls.
March, 1993 - December, 2007 - RBM Systems Inc. DBA Air Plus - Director of Operations - Buda, Texas
Directed the operations of a small air conditioning and heating service company. Duties included the day-to-day operation of the
company. Managed service and installation personnel, overseeing their dispatch, assisting them in technical support, tracking and
reviewing their performance, and training. Sold, serviced, diagnosed and repaired residential and light commercial HVAC equipment,
sold and maintained maintenance contracts, residential and light commercial equipment. Also during this period had two part –time
positions teaching introductory HVAC courses; one in a face-to-face environment with ITT Tech, in Austin, Texas in 2006, the other in
2007 in an online environment with HVACReducation.net, of Heron, Montana.
May, 1991 – March, 1993 - Garden Grove Unified Schools - HVAC Mechanic - Garden Grove, California
Engaged in troubleshooting and the repair of all HVAC and refrigeration equipment in the second largest school district in Southern
California. Equipment ranged from small split systems to large multi-zoned rooftop systems.
January, 1986 – March, 1991 - Seco Industries International, Inc. - Foreman - Metairie, Louisiana
Managed 5 expatriate HVAC/R technicians and 5 local helpers in Cabinda, Angola, Africa. Systems were installed, maintained and
repaired both onshore and offshore in an oilfield environment which included process cooling and heating, environmental cooling, and
refrigeration. System capacities ranged from 1/2 ton to 30 tons.
February, 1985 – December, 1985 - Seco Industries International, Inc. - Inspector - Metairie, Louisiana
Oversaw the HVAC/R portion of the construction of an offshore oil platform being built in a shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea. Managed 5
engineers and 55 workers. Duties included inspecting HVAC construction work performed according to Texaco's specifications. This job
was dubbed, "The Texaco Harvest Project" and the completed platform was towed to an offshore spot off the coast of Southern
California.
