Active participant in our S.W.A.T team that focus on behavior based safety.
Process Superintendent for 2 Paper Machines, a 130" wide Tissue and 214" wide
Machine Glazed Machine.
Duties include implementing process improvement projects on both machines that
will deliver 100% ROI in < 1 year.
Reduced water jet slitting waste from 10% to 6% through process optimization
and operator training.
Responsible for maintain 6 % waste on the tissue machine during Water Jet
Slitting, and 10% waste while on the winder.
Capital projects included #2 PM headbox slice modification, procurement and
installation of 4 consistency transmitters.
Team member that assisted with #2 PM Vibration Reduction Capital project.
Project to date has yielded an 8% speed increase
and will meet its 1 year ROI minimum expectations.
Additional duty of Stock Prep Manager was added in February 2010.
Oversee day to day operations of stock preps of #1 and #2 Paper Machines.
Responsible for maintaining accurate pulp usage and pulp inventory.
Took ownership of the Quality Manager position in April 2010.
Ensure product specifications are met on both Paper Machines.
Liaison between machines, sales, and customer.
Respond to all customer complaints, through SCARS, customer visits, email, etc.
Met Safety, Quality, and Productivity standards for 2009.
This was the first time since 1996 that the mill had successfully reached all 3

Implemented process changes which netted 7% productivity increase on Scott
Tissue during 2008.
Centerlined rewinder setup during 2008 which lead to a net increase of bluestar
on facial grades by 5% YOY.
Asset team lead on capital upgrades on #2 Tissue Machine that exceed $5MM
planned in 2009.
Contributed $1.7M to Force Savings during 2008 through productivity and energy
efficiencies and on track for $900,000 in
Non productivity savings in 2009.

Assisted in the installation of the QCS IR Burner Project on #2 Paper Machine,
Largest Capital Project at Evadale in 2004.
Helped to lead the startup effort of the QCS Burners, measured the results, and
optimized.
Planned various machine trials across 4 machines which focused on improving SBS
Stiffness and Basis Weight.
Process Engineer, Technical Group 1/19/03 - 1/1/04
Primary member of chemical team which transitioned all specialty chemical
business within the mill, generating a savings of over $1.5 million/year.
Tetra Pak team member which focused on solving customer complaints / concerns,
optimization of machine operation, and improvement of bottom-line costs.
Improved wet end sizing efficiency on two board machines, leading to an
increase in business growth within Solo Cup.
