Satcom Field Tech Job responsibilities include: installation, maintenance
and continuous support of satellite communication systems (KU, X and C-
bands) for the U.S. government, military agencies and civilian
organizations in various military locations
* Site lead Satellite technician in Afghanistan, supervised two other
technicians. Provided up-to-date inventories, logistical requirements, new
customer requirements and personnel tracking information to the Country
Manager.
* Set-up, Maintained and provided technical support to over 60 military
VSAT satellite terminals, for the U.S and NATO special forces, as well as
100 terminals for civilian company's. Equipment maintained consisted of
2.4 and 1.8 meter satellite systems, iDirect and Net II plus satellite
modems, various Cisco switches, Cisco ASA5505/5501 Security Firewalls,
Cisco VOIP technologies, satellite TV distribution systems and the
manufacture of CAT-5 and Quad-shield RF Cables.
*Responsible for traveling, by various methods, throughout various hostile
regions of Afghanistan with limited administrative, logistical and
technical support.

US Air Force Experience: While in the Air Force I received technical
training and experience on isolating electronic malfunctions to the

overhaul, and modification problems associated with ground radio
communications equipment. This training focused primarily on radio
technologies of all types; legacy systems, satellite
communications,microwave shots FM, AM VHF, UHF, HF radio types.
*Trained over 300 Air Force JTACS at 14 different U.S, military base's on
how to use tactical radios, and video surveying equipment
* In charge of AN/PRC148 multi-band tactical handheld radios; and
Associated cryptographic equipment, valued in excess of $10M
* Performed 168 Preventive Maintenance Inspections on 12 weapon systems
valued at $1.5M; guaranteed systems could deploy within 72 hours
* Outstanding Airmen of the Quarter for 1st quarter 2005, third quarter
2006 and forth quarter 2008. Technician of the Year for the1st combat
