Began as a resource secretary at the legacy Ogden Newell Welch law firm on a temporary
basis and was offered a permanent position. Assigned to the Utilities Department and continued
there after a merger, picking up an attorney in Business & Finance. After the two attorneys in
Utilities left the firm, I continued working for the Business & Finance attorney and filled in
where shorthanded. In September 2007 I was assigned a permanent desk working for two
attorneys, an accountant and three paralegals in Estate Planning & Administration, and continued
working for the attorney in Business and Finance until his departure in late 2009.
Responsibilities included straight typing, copy work, revisions, digital dictation, time entry,
faxing, filing, photocopying, scanning, keeping matters up to date in Client Profiles (CP), setting
up meetings, scheduling conference rooms, ordering lunch, check requests, registering for
seminars and CLEs, keeping track of expenses and reimbursements, answering phones, taking
messages and sending calls to voice mail.

Over the years I worked for several attorneys and the Managing Partner in this plaintiff's
personal injury and medical malpractice law firm. Among my duties were answering telephones,
meeting with and assisting clients, copy work and straight typing, dictation, Dictaphone machine,
filing, photocopying, faxing, drafting and preparing pleadings for court and service on opposing
counsel, requesting police reports, medical and hospital records, and calculating attorneys' fees
and nets to clients based on retainers.
June 1968 – January 1977
Began in the Metropolitan Division of The Bank of New York, Wall Street, NYC, where I
remained for two years before moving on to the field of law, first at Mendes & Mount; then at
Brauner Baron Rosenzweig & Kligler; and then at Greenbaum Wolff & Ernst, before finding a
home at the legacy Gair, Gair & Conason firm.
