A highly respected construction professional with 30 years experience in
the construction industry with a background that includes commercial,
industrial and mid-rise multi-family housing experience. Directed all
phases of major projects from those in tight urban settings to large scale
Mid-Atlantic sites in VA, MD, NJ, PA, and MA. Managed projects from the
position of general contractor, construction manager and as owner-

. SENIOR HOUSING CONSTRUCTION
Planned and implemented the strategy for the growth of Erickson
Construction when the Erickson Retirement Communities business plan
dictated three to four campus starts per year. During this period,
construction staff increased from 85 to 182 employees and the yearly
volume increased from $90M to $369M. A typical campus is located on
80 to 100 acre site with three to four neighborhoods accommodating up
to 1,800 residents. Included were Residential and Community Buildings
along with a Continuing care/Assisted Living building. Each campus
was approximately $400M with a seven to nine year build out.
. SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
Executive in charge of the development and implementation of
Ericksonware, an in-house construction management software package
addressing Budget and Document Management that replaced Constructware,
an internet based application leased on a yearly basis. This software
was the desktop system used daily by all management levels and field
staff for budget and document control. Ericksonware synchronized with
the JD Edwards accounting system and fulfilled all regular and long
term reporting requirements. Return on investment compared to lease
costs of Constructware over a five year period equated to $120,000
. ERICKSON FOUNDATION INITIATIVES
The Erickson Foundation has been extremely active in addressing
opportunities and issues affecting youth and presenting unique
solutions with an educational component. Although these projects fell
outside of the normal corporate business plan, they presented unique
challenges and an involvement that was both personally fulfilling and
affected the lives of many local youth.
Projects included:
A $39M, 70 acre Environmental Education Camp located on the upper
Chesapeake Bay presenting the challenge of private development in a
state park with a half mile of bay waterfront surrounded by protected
wetlands. Northbay can accommodate up to 350 students. As
Development Director led the design and construction teams to
successfully complete an educational facility that to date, has
serviced all middle school districts in the state of Maryland while
fulfilling one of the Master Plan components of the Maryland.
Department of Natural Resources.
Five phases of Student Housing at the University of Maryland Baltimore
County campus accommodating 1,100 students. Residences included both
apartment style living and standard dormitory spaces along with campus
medical suites, classroom spaces and the offices of Residential life.
In addition, master plan studies were assembled for both the campus
center and a west campus extension.

negotiate favorable contract terms and achieve significant buy-out.

master plan was compiled for the campus. Erickson
Construction/Foundation engaged a landscape architect and completed
the master plan contract documents and initial budgeting for the
center campus renovation project.
