Flux Mediation (using Perl), Mediates the OM, parameter, Neighbor list data from Motorola, Samsung, Nortel and Lucent vendors,

processes and converts the data from vendor specific to Sprint standardized format so that Flux ETL (using SSIS) can load the data

into the Flux data warehouse (SQL server) and this data is processed using Analysis server cubes (using MSAS) and the client

applications (Panorama, Excel, Reporting Services) uses this data to generate reports and do various analysis.

1. Curve Monitoring System. [Jan 07 to May 07]

Curve Monitoring System is meant for facilitating improvements in performance and stability in Hotmail by analyzing various

measurements across various dimensions.

These measurements are generated by a system called "Monitoring Curves" which provides both simple counters and arrays of

counters (buckets) that allow tracking and distribution of measurements as a histogram covering range of values. These Measurements

are extracted in every 10 minutes into the CMS database partitioned tables. Analysis Server Cube is built on top of these partitioned

tables. Olap partitions are also used for faster processing and retrieval of the data.

My Roles & Responsibilities

• Developed the stored procedures in SQL Server for extraction/transformation & Loading from the source system to the

target.

• Designed and Developed the Cubes/ Dimensions in Analysis Server using SQL Server Business Intelligence Development

Studio.

• Created the XML Scripts for creating and processing the cube/ dimension/cube partitions etc.

2. Net Availability Reporting. [Nov 05 to Dec 06]

The Net Availability Report is designed to give the supply chain planning community a glance into the health of an SKU at the Plant

level. Based on the Net Available Quantity and the number of Weeks On Hand, they can make decisions about building, planning, and

sales plan for that SKU. The data is going to be aligned according to where the supply & demand fall in their respective Fiscal Weeks.

My Roles & Responsibilities

• Created the Technical Spec, Build Document, Operational Guide and Release Notes

DbReport is meant to bring both dbCube (London) and Data services (NY) into one common reporting framework.

DbCube application is used as Risk reporting tool. Currently Market risks (GPC), Liquidity Risk (LiMA), Operational risk, and Daily PL

application uses dbCube framework for reporting. The application is a multi dimensional product allowing the users to drag and drop

the dimension and gets the reports instantly in web front end/Excel Addins that gets the data from Essbase and MSAS cubes. Each of

the application has its own cube building process steps pre defined using Oracle objects. After each successful completion of the cube

build process, the users can retrieve the data from the web front end or Essbase excel addin/MIS Plain software.

Channel Wave provides outsourced solutions to companies engaged in selling products direct to the end customer, or through multi

channel partners such as dealers, VARs and retailers.

“Channel Wave Business Intelligence” is a combination of applications, databases and a presentation layer (Graphic User Interface or

GUI) that work together to allow users to receive the right information (data) at the right time, based on the user’s job function and

permission rights. The project was in 2 phases.

The first phase of this project is about developing the reporting framework and the MSAS cubes for creating and accessing the

predefined reports given by channel wave. The second phase of the project is about redesigning the data warehouse as per the

proposal given during 1st Phase and introducing additional functionalities to the reporting framework.

My Roles & Responsibilities

• Designed and implemented the data marts/data warehouse which took data from 2 transactional sources.

• Designed and developed cubes in Analysis server. Design has 22 cubes and 23 dimensions. Out of the 22 cubes 10 are

invisible, 3 cubes are Virtual cubes. Rests of the cubes are based on 6 Data marts and some of them on views which are on a

different aggregation level as compared to the fact table.

• Designed the extraction and loading methodologies.

• Performed the reverse engineering by using ERWIN to get the existing data model and re developed the complete data

model for the solution.

• Created source and Target definitions, Developed some of the complex mappings using various transformations, created

reusable transformations and Mapplets.

The NED system is a 3 tier web technology based intranet environment. Data is collected from a number of data sources on a daily

basis, either as data files or by direct access to remote databases over an Oracle database link connection. This data is reformatted

and loaded into the NED staging area, which is an Oracle 8i database on a Solaris 8 server. Relevant data from the staging area is

used to load a time series database (FAME on the Solaris 8 server) where it is stored, interpolated and aggregated. This aggregated

data returned to the staging area. Users through the NED intranet interface can access the time series database. Selected users can

also export the time series data into Excel, through an add in. The raw and aggregated data in the staging area is loaded into the NED

data warehouse by a transformation process. The data warehouse is an Oracle 8i database on the Solaris 8 server. This data

warehouse is accessed using a selection of Cognos tools via the intranet interface.

• Writing procedures in Oracle and Fame.

• Writing shell scripts for invoking different processes according to their different stages of the data flow.
