and gear and gear boxes).

personnel layout design, installation review, process validation and

Running plant maintenance- Timely inspection of the working plant. If

problems arose, required action was taken. Maintenance of the two main

division's boiler plant and mill plant.

draught system), Bagasse feeder and boiler tubes.

*Mill maintenance- Observed the 5 running main mills.

. Performed checks on the Rotational gear box system.

. Observed the performance of the variable motors in the

plant.

. Pump maintenance- Sugar syrup pumping to the boiling house.

. Vacuum pan boiler- To make sure that the sugar grains are

formed.

. Centrifugal separator- Separates sugar grains from the

liquid jaggery.

. Design goal- A pneumatically actuated door system for a low floor CNG

(Compressed Natural Gas) bus.

. Design Challenges- A pneumatic system, the diameter calculation of the

pipe, the flow control systems, the lever system and making of the

working prototype model.

. TEAM SIZE-4, designed a pneumatically operated door system for bus

which is operated by the driver.

. The actuation systems are 5/3 pneumatic lever system, two flow control

valves, two pneumatic cylinders and two lever system on which the

pneumatic cylinder act so as to open and close the door.

. Calculated different aspects of design like pressure drop in the pipe

line, stresses and the force required for the opening of the system.

Developed a working prototype model.
