including backbone routers, backbone switches, internet gateway routers,

internet and VPN route reflectors, MPLS gateway routers, and management

routers. Manager of the network architecture group responsible for lab

testing and proof of concept for next generation hardware and software

integration with the existing network.

. Integrated the McLeodUSA and PAETEC Data Networks improving service

delivery and network operations efficiency by 50%.

. Increased network capacity 1000% by installing new core and internet

gateway hardware to replace older hardware to support OC-192, OC-48,

Managed a team of 16 individuals responsible for the revenue data network

(RDN), internal data network (IDN), internal communication (ICOM) group,

and electronic commerce (MECN) groups.

. Identified a next generation router to provide integrated VPN,

Firewall, Internet, remote access, and VOIP services which allowed for

costs savings in excess of $500,000 per site.

. Tested and deployed MPLS VPN as an alternative product to traditional

frame-relay service.

. Migrated from Meridian based PBX phones to Polycom SIP phones using

Broadsoft call controllers and Alcatel Plexus Gateways saving $500,000

in yearly line costs.

. Tested and deployed quality of service (QOS) to provide a higher class

of service for VOIP and VPN traffic across the IP backbone ensuring

that traffic achieved 99.999% service availability.

. Integrated the Splitrock and McLeodUSA ATM and IP networks which
